Bruce, 12 Jul 2016If anyone find out how to get our computer to recognize that there are pictures on your phone ... moreI figured THIS problem out, but still can't figure out how to get rid of the "contacts stopped working" message....so I can't make calls!!!!
When I connect the USB, on the phone, swipe from the top down and tap a message that gives you the option to select from Transfer files, transfer media, etc. I had to select each one separately and search for pics and videos. One option allowed me to see saved pics, another option allowed me to see saved videos.

I solved the horrendous lag on my S5 after that "upgrade" to Lollipop 6.0.1! I wasn't experiencing any new battery or heating problems, but any typing would get stuck for minutes at a time, games would get stuck. Basically anything that required more than a few consecutive display touches. But now it's fine.
I was all set to revert to KitKat, but tried one last time to eliminate the eyeball icon by turning off "Smart Rotation" under Display/Screen Rotation. I'd already turned off Smart Stay, but that Smart Rotation Unclick solved my problem! Yahoo! My phone is back, and I didn't have to jump through all the hoops for the KitKat downgrade.

Last week my s5 started shutting down its self. First it was after a few minutes now its so frequent. Tried even to update to marshmallow still the same problem.

My blue tooth keeps disconnecting in my car as I'm driving! Not safe! And my phone just isn't working right on anything! Damn update! Help!

Contacts are messed up some missing, some now duplicated. Photos unattached to contacts. Battery draining. Phone looses connection to network randomly and battery drains while roaming. This update stinks, Don't do it! My galaxy 5 was fine b4. Verizon told me not their problem, lots of complaints about Samsung update
Guess I'll get an iPhone next time.

This update is AWFUL. I have an S5 which I've always loved. I've always been able to go all day on one battery - I use ultra power saver when not using. Today I got 2 hours and 38 minutes off of a full battery with the 'power saver' on - and the power saver constantly turns itself off. I use my phone for calls and texting. I don't play games on it or anything else. Also - there is a red outline flickering all of the time and my wallpaper is not red. I have no idea what it is. I also get the 'xxx has stopped working' messaages frequently. I have deleted many apps and force-stopped other, but this is absolutely unacceptable. How could Samsung release something so terrible? On top of that, apps that used to work no longer work at all. I do not WANT to backup and reset the whole damn thing and should not have to.

If anyone find out how to get our computer to recognize that there are pictures on your phone when you hook it up through USB, please let me know. Ever since the update I can't use my phone for work pictures without emailing them from my phone.

I have had Samsung Galaxy's for years and never had an issue with an update until 7-1-16 when this herky jerky pos update forced itself onto my phone. Now talk to txt is a crap shoot. Typing is slow and jerky at best. Can't delete call logs. No pictures for tagged individuals in my contact list. Reboots on a regular basis all by its self. So many things to list and not enough energy to do it. Samsung I want my phone fixed

Latest Samsung SW update. Do not try to wait it will be ok. Simply backup your contacts, messages, notes, photos/videos and programs as needed to the Google Drive. Then factory reset your Galaxy. Everything will be fine.

I have just updated my Samsung s5 and it just kept buzzing on and off. So I cleared the cache and rebooted, still buzzing on and off, so I done a reset and now it has the Android man saying downloading. But I don't know what it's doing. Any ideas please.

Where's the fix for this bad up date?? Galaxie Note 5 won't recognize fingerprint or pass code. I'm locked out. Why hasn't Samsung fixed the problem? Samsung better fix it now or it will lose a lot of customers.

I'm having major issues since the Android update last Friday. My screen is freezing constantly, the Smart stay icon is scanning continually and although I switch it off in Display it is still there. There is a timd lag when typing - so frustrating. My mobile data switched itself on automatically and used up all my monthly data - I am FURIOUS! Can I complain to anyone?
