My Samsung 5s did the update and now whenever I send a picture or am in a group text, it comes from a completely different number than mine. When i try calling the number its goes to a vm. I went to the sprint store to try to fix the problem and all they told me was that Samsung knew and they will send a new update.... HELLO SAMSUNG... Im waiting.
Right after the recent auto update on my Galaxy S5, the Studio editor that came pre-installed on the phone crashed, battery life drains at least 30% faster, the phone adds letters and duplicates words to my texts, and apps load very slowly/shut down in the middle of use. Went through tech support with my cell carrier, did all the trouble-shooting, had the phone restored to its factory settings - no help. Had it replaced with a new S5 - which I've had for 5 days now - and it's doing exactly the same thing. Called Samsung cellular help line and spoke to a rep who explained the S5 needs to be on the new 5.1 operating system (mine is apparently working off 5.0,) which will supposedly fix everything. He instructed me to go to a Best Buy and have the reps at the Samsung Experience desk update my phone with this 5.1 system. Spent nearly 2 hours with a rep there who said my phone can't be updated with 5.1 because my carrier doesn't support it. (Verizon) They fiddled with it, flash set it... still not fixed. Phone is still under warranty. Hey Samsung, fix it.

Drove me crazyyyy they told me at the T MOBILE store that they are aware of this problem and I had myn replaced 3 TIMES since then! They keep sending refurbished phones and they all do the same. They agreed to switch it to IPHONE 6s (after a pretty steamy call). Very disappointed. The time to download all apps and passwords.... we all know it's hours of work.
My mobile updated the new system last night, it changed to a new style, because I am a Color blind and low vision person, I cannot see the mobile now, can Samsung gives me a good way to go back the old system for my note 3. Because now my mobile is becoming a roblish now, I am very sad and angry now.

I have to restart my phone in orde... moreYes this exact same thing happened to me, now I can't access any of my photos on my sd card and my phone freezes overnight so my alarm to wake up for work hasn't been going off!!
The new Verizon update made the responsiveness of the touchscreen lag, it powers off and on, the screen blanks out. Texting repeats letters and words on its own while in use. My G5 is a G zero now. I can't get a hold of samsung or Verizon on these issues, no one else seems to be experiencing these things, of course except everyone else's I ask about it.
Anonymous, 05 Mar 2016The exact same thing is happening with my phone and I haven't figured out how to fix it!Wife had an update Mar. 3, 2016 on her Galaxy S5 and the update corrupted her operating system. Samsung first told me they would fix it free. They were going to have to erase the system and then reinstall it again. I called back the next day and was told they would send me a UPS label. I waited a few hours and nothing so I phoned back and then was told it was out of warranty by 6 months and that the other Reps. were incorrect saying they would fix it for free. I asked to be transferred to the original Dept. who I had contacted first and was placed on hold for an hour and disconnected. This has happened 3 times now wasting an hour each time to get disconnected. I then was given their direct number which rings and then goes to voicemail which is a waste of time because no one ever answers or returns calls. Now when I call it goes straight to music and advertisement and nobody answers the line for Samsung customer service. I would not recommend Samsung for anything. They lie about everything and do not follow up at all.
Samsung is already poor when it comes to updates . Once your phone is 2 years or older you can expect to stop recieving updates from samsung also even after a while your phone starts to get slow. For me i think that this may be the last update for the mini. The least samsung could do is too give its s5 mini users a proper update before they leave us with no more updates after this one. I was pretty excited for the 5.0 update but now theres performce and battery problems on my phone. I think the update works fine for the regular s5 so i don't what the problem whether its hardwarw or software for the s5 mini
I've had a series of wonky problems with the touch screen. Settings changing, pocket dialing....I think I'm just about done with Samsung phones
Since l updated to lollipop, um having problems when l receive anything using bluetooth. The phone will start to ring continuously and l failed to stop the ringing. Please help
It's called upgrade your Galaxy or Else SABOTAGE. It's happened on every galaxy I've owned over the last 5 years. When you're 2 models behind,, the 7 is now coming out,, Samsung wants you to buy the new one. I swore I would never be an iPhone user. I'm now done with Samsung. KMA

just got the notice to update my os with a security patch (appears to be 2016-02-01) and have had nothing but trouble since. phone freezes constantly, processes shut down for unknown reasons, etc. what the heck!?
Extremely annoyed at the problems I am experiencing since I updated my S5 mini with the latest update. I have lost all my contacts and it doesn't matter what I try and do to retrieve them, there is nothing. My battery life is also so poor now, I am having to recharge
during the day as well as evening. Seriously wish I'd never updated.
My son is in the process of changing his iphone over to me and the sooner the better!
I am NOT techy so this is a HUGE Problem. Out of nowhere, after 7 months of being great, my s5 reset itself to factory BLANK NEWBORN START FROM SCRATCH. Why? How? I picked up my phone to use and it was in a blue background set up mode that I could not make go away even by restart. Now I can't find my memos, many apps gone, even after spending over 2 hours, phone NOT back to the way I have tailored it since I purchased in June. HELP PLEASE
My S5 started off ok but 18 months it slow with some simple functions taking ages. I'll move to the Nexus 6p soon - a Google specified phone built under contract. Definitely not the upcoming S7. It'll do the same thing - fast at first then permanent decline. Not again.
