My navigation is all messed up, and when I send a text, the recipient receives it 3 times...very annoying!!! Update stinks!
Why can't they just leave my phone alone.

I had the latest update (in the UK) on my S5 last week and it caused playback issues in all media players. I'd get random 'pause' in everything. It's an essential thing for me.
I made sure I'd set up full sync with Google (Some people don't like this but I'd do anything for my device to be working again). I used the Samsung 'Smart Switch' software on my PC to make a backup.
I did factory reset on the phone, which took ages, and then connected wi-fi again, and set-up my google account, and then left it for few hours. Just about all my apps were reinstalled ok. I then used 'Smart Switch' and that recovered only what was missing - which is good - and had to set up all my accounts and passwords again. Somewhere in this procedure I needed to set up my Samsung account again - for some reason, but it was important.
It was a lot of work - permissions for everything need to be granted again, but I'm pleased to say the device is now functioning as it was/should. This procedure worked for me, and I hope it helps others.
I do hope it doesn't happen again though!

Same problem here too after the update my phone is just stalled with SAMSUNG flashing and the phone buzzing. Can,t get out of this loop.

The new is update SUCKS! I hate how the favorites and contact list are different. It is neither easier or simpler to navigate the contacts, so what was the point of the change?!? Disappointed!

OS update issues with the S5 have hit the USA. First my phone started acting weird and it spiked my SD memory card. I also found that it had change my security settings. About a week later I noticed my phone was doing an update. I picked it up after it was done only to find that my phone was dead ... sort of. The screen was black, but when I rebooted it I would get a discolored Samsung logo, then nothing. Tech support had me try to do a factory reset, but it wouldn't do that either. It was like part of the OS was running, but the command functions were dead. Luckily I have insurance on the phone and they replaced it.

Same here. Received the update on my S4 yesterday, and phone is a mess today. Among others it keeps telling me to restart because it can't find a SIMcard. Hmmm it's still in the same spot as yesterday... Now what do I do?

My Galaxy S5 is having weird audio issues in all of my different player apps (Amazon Music, Player FM, etc). It'll start off normally, then it will do things like pause and start again every few seconds, or the volume will waiver up and down continuously. It's impossible to use my phone as a listening device, which sucks a lot because that's what I use it for several hours a day while I'm working.

I removed the battery, waited a while and put it back in. after several more minutes of the samsung logo it continued doing some update-stuff. I am now waiting and hoping for it to return to normal but at least it's doing something.

Auto typing no longer functioning. I have to manually capiralize at start of sentences, double space at end of sentence does not insert period.

Fed up with my S4. ever Since Lollipop was installed for my AT&T Galaxy S4 (sept/oct 2016?)it spontaneously shuts off without regard to charge left. You can only do a couple of actions before this occurs. Might be 50%,might be 100%! Any reboot will fail unless you've plugged in the phone again...even with plenty of juice left! I've had it crash at 100%, reboot at 3%, immediately crash again and reboot back up at 95%! So I have a mobile phone that requires I be plugged in order to use.This seems clearly a SW issue 1)it does this regardless of charge level 2)charge level readings are clearly wonky 3) it gives no low power warning. But none of the updates so far have fixed the issue. Any leads from others ( I have talked to S5 users with similar issues.)

I'm not certain what this "upgrade" was supposed to improve but it's done the opposite. I can no longer sign into anything google related ,my battery is basically useless as I have to be plugged in just to make a call & my settings don't stick (my display& sound settings reset with every reboot). We need an option to reset to before the "upgrade" if we dislike it.
