Was w... moreOn 3/2/17, when updating the operating system, my tablet (Samsung TabS/Model: SM-T700) is stuck at Samsung logo screen(before updating, it worked well). I contacted Samsung support by live chat to report my problem. First, they asked me to turn it off. I followed their instructions but I can't. Then, they asked me to send it to service center to check the problem with the service fee is 65 USD (because my guarantee is expired). I told them I am willing to pay for the service fee in advance but if they find out that the problem comes from updating process (which is their problem), they have to refund me. Then they say NO. Furthermore, they told me that there is no reported issue with the update. I asked them for the contact of higher authority to discuss this problem but they give me the phone number of technical support. WTH Samsung is doing??? They are so big now, they don't need customers anymore???
Since the update I can't open pictures in text messages, and my gallery won't open, either. It tells me to allow permissions for contacts/calendar/location and when I go to settings I get the message "Screen overlay detected". As far as I can tell, I've toggled off the screen overlay from the settings but I keep getting the same message......I'm beyond frustrated!
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it,my S5 has been pushing this update for some time and I haven't done so.Whenever there's an update problems always follows I leave well alone

I just updated my note 5 and now when I send a message to someone , say my wife on her note 5, a friend on an s7 , the send arrow now says chat. They do not receive my messages . Another friend on an I phone , the arrow says sms . As well as another friends Obama phone , they both receive my messages . Is anyone else seeing this ?
I also noticed , in my contacts , the two people not receiving my messages are highlighted in blue .

My phone (Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo) was just updated on Thursday (Feb. 2) morning at 6 AM. Was working fine until today (Feb. 3), then suddenly went into boot loop. Can't turn on for more than 20 seconds, shuts off and won't allow me to try and turn it on for 5 minutes. Anyone run into this issue before? Sucks that they release a firmware "update" that destroys my phone. I'm not buying another phone because Android pushed out a firmware "update" that broke my current phone.
Everyone on here is complaining about there s5 , which I believe came out in 2013, that's ancient in a Smart phones life span. My s5 active has been dropped on concrete 20 or times, I use it in my hot tub with 104deg steam hitting it and basically use it every day swapping out the battery without properly shutting down . And the phone works perfectly. No reason to by s7, or the soon s8
i got an update 29/1/2017 for 6.0.1 now my phone keeps dropping wifi signal ...i did a factory reset and that didnt fix it ...am i suppose to just go and buy a new phone

As usual samsung update is a disaster. My galaxy s5 operating through sprint is, post-update, virtually unusable. Samsung, please quit forcing updates on ys until you can do it seamlessly.

My phone was still under warranty from asurion, so I had it replaced. My new phone (working fine) is now asking me to download the new software update, but I have a feeling that is what caused the problem before.
