Xperia Z which released in same time of NOTE 2 have confirmed to get lollipop update.
This is for those who telling any devices which 2yrs old wont get latest updates.
SAMSUNG if u dont change ur strategy then sure u will lose ur market in INDIA like NOKIA did to stucks with only symbian phones.
MICROMAX,XIOMEE,GIONEE are rising in INDIA.

That's Pretty bad for Note 2 . I was hoping that Note 2 will be getting Lollipop update now I will sell my Note 2 and buy Iphone or Moto or Sony. I will not recommend anybody for Samsung phone because at the last moment they ditch you. Pathetic..Samsung you are gone from my list forever. Bye Bye Samsung

It's out of warranty , root and flash , my S3 has lollipop. Runs very well.

2 yrs ago i was choosing between the Samsung Note 2 and Sony xperia Z. I choose Samsung but I won't get Lollipop BUT the Sony Xperia Z is getting lollipop. Good bye sanmsung. I just bought a Sony Z3C for my girlfriend and will get the Sony Z4 for myself.

Who cares about buggy Android 5.0? I don't despite fact I'm Note 2 user too. Amount of bloatware in every Samsung phone gets to epic stage(proven it on my friends Note 4)! I'm thinking about moving to HTC or some manufacturer that uses Android with less bloatware even thought I would miss Note 2's sPen.

I feel very sorry for you ... moreu mad bro? hahahaha. . . everybody wants lollipop on their phones no mather how old or useless are the fact here is u dont need an update to the phones u need to get a better job so u can have money to get a better and newer phone, even if u get the update ull cry a river for months if it doesnt work well just cause the update its to much for the phone. . .

Thanks samsung for confirming ...once again you proof that you are lazy on updates and your updates are also .. laggy too....coz of no updates u will loss your customers and her trust from you ... in future no one going to believes on samsung..........

I have the Note 2, 3 and 4. NONE has Lollipop to date.
The Note 2 stuck with JB 4.3 since iOS 6.0.1, Note 3 with KK 4.4.2 and Note 4 with KK 4.4.4.
On the other hand, my Sony Z Ultra is now on Lollipop.
Both Korean manufacturers LG and Samsung are notoriously notorious when it comes to software updates, and so is Microsoft Nokias.
People are spoiled by Apple swift, simultaneous for all, instant and smooth updates. The only thing that comes near it in the Android realm is Sony.
