My s 8.4 wifi version does not play candy crush soda saga or farm heroes. Says device incompatible. ..Any solution?
I bought it specifically for games just TODAY!
AnonD-123905, 05 May 2015No, it wont brick your device if your device is Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE(SM-T705). This is not cus... moreThanks Shyam4ever,
Although I have the tab S wifi version the site has the latest update for the model.
So far after installing the HK latest update, the tablet is stable usually I get screen glitches then sudden reboot when battery is less than 20%.. now battery is at 17% is doing good. Will update, after longer testing
AnonD-415698, 16 Aug 2015Any one in Pakistan got the upgrade, please share !i upgraded .... same problems, flikking, battry drain and suddenly shutdown...from islamabad
5.0.2 on my new Tab S 8.4 (wifi only).
No issues what so ever - updating was the first thing I did after buying it.
And of course, factory reset after update!!!
Battery drains between 10-30% each hour in different kind of games.
12-18% each hour watching movies at 11/15 display strength.
I get that flicker thing some times, a few seconds when waking up when the screen looks all broken, but some reviewer mentioned it had to do with some power-state-changing and that thingy could be disabeled in hidden options, but it doesn't bother me so better have it function as it's supposed to than inactivade some power modes just for that.
I have the same problem with my tab s 8.4 lte as listed below
- When battery is less than 80% rebooting
- while re booting it is not possible to stop or to power of shut down manualy. Only after pluging external power it can boot normally, and starts working normally.
- gsm connection is restating if battery less than 70%
- screen flickering with bright white lines.
And all these problems are gone while in charging with a quality 2A charger.
Having hope of problems might gone I have recently updated to lollipop, but unfortunately still the same problem continued.
Is there any one who solved this problem. OR anybody who can help me.
Guys! Don't blame on the lollipop android, just blame on the hardware of the Tab.To be honest, Tab Note 8.0, Tab S 8.4, Tab S 10.5, Tab 4 are using the same battery connector in the mainboard. All the Tab with this kind of battery connector will have this kind of issues: random reboot, display flickering, abnormal battery percentage(drain fast or abnormal charging time), sudden lost of network. This kind of issues can be solve by disconnect and reconnect the battery from the battery connector or replace a new battery connector(cause of manufacturing defect/ bad soldering ) but the problem will soon appear again after few months. Samsung just choose money over quality.
Lollipop update ruined my motherboard of Tab s 8.4. Got replaced from warranty. Do not update to lollipop.
Thank God I didn't updated my tabs to lollipop, was almost about to do it but reading these comments.... na na... :)
Since the update of my Samsung Galaxy Tab S to lollipop version 5.0.2....l hv hd several issues with the Tab... constant flickering, re-booting on it's own, battey draining fast... soo annoying..lvd my Tab but now wanna throw into the bin... it's corrupted the Apps...
Upgrading to Lollilop 5.02 was a serious setback and hinders the usage of the device. When will Samsung solve this shameful incident ?
Wow. I have exactly the same problems. After upgrading to Lollipop 5.0.2 directly from OTA. My tab S 8.4 reboots randomly, especially when the battery is below 70%. When its below 25% it gets worse and keep rebooting and flashing white lines no matter what I do. Plus the flash is not working anymore for taking pictures (I thought it was broken from the small bumps the other day when it accidentally knock on my bedroom door) , and the battery capacity is really really weird. Sometimes i keep it plugged for the whole night using the original charger and it stuck at 78% sometimes ot stuck at 65% and sometimes when at about 75% i plugged in, it will reach 100% in about 15 mins. Which is crazy! Sammie please let your user downgrade back to Kitkat! Your Lollipop upgrade is broken and absolutely rubbish! I will try the power saving mode. Hope it can make my tab s be usable again when its below 50%..
No update in Russian on LTE version. But from what I have read- good riddance )
As far as I'm concerned: Samsung, please offer a downgrade to the pervious version of Android until the stabilityproblems with Lollipop are fixed! The use of the tablet had become almost impossible!
same flickering problem and device restarting at random times, major problem though tablet no longer recognises my data sim in the slot, so I have no 4G data
Well, I just updated my Samsung Galaxy Tab S to Lollipop and the tablet keeps rebooting every 30 seconds or so. This somewhat hinders the usage of the device.
