This is big problem not just for Google but for customers! You try to find perfect phone and when you do you notice that manufacturer has what so ever interest update phone OS.

I put BlissPop (based on Cyanogen sources) on my LG G2, Android 5.1.1, and I honestly haven't seen a faster phone yet even with my outdated hardware. Litterly zero lag, no matter how many tasks open, switching is done instantly, tasks open just as fast. My friends iPad Air feels like a slow meul in comparison, and that is a fast device.

Lollipop uses a new video player, namely Nuplayer instead of the older Awesomeplayer. If jou go to settings -> about phone -> *tap build number 7 times to activate developer options* -> back to settings -> developer options -> just change the video player from there

i am still using 2.3.6 os on my samsung galaxy wonder and am satisfiex with the device performance

but some firmwares are good if only not updated like jelly bean 4.3 is far better and more beautifull update than kitkat that looks like a dotmatrix to me, as there are no colors in base like battery meter, wifi other ribbons on the top of the line

Android 6.0 will be out before my Samsung Galaxy Alpha gets lollipop, the rollout speed with vendors is horrendous.

my carrier is telstra and also have tried 3 others and still no upgrade so will just carry on waiting i suppose is it any diffrent than the last update

My Z3 has lollipop, if yours doesnt, its because your carrier hasnt updated it (my carrier has, I havent done anything to configure my phone in any special way to get lollipop on it)
