Another instance when tech review website is initiating the desire for rather useless feature. "raw is a must for any photo enthusiast" I mean c'mon, with these tiny toy sensors the raw quality isn't going to be great and it'll be horribly noisy. Moreover tomorrow you can see every reader here waiting raw and bashing company which doesn't provide it, even without knowing that raw / dng is not directly out-of-camera insta/fb postable and it requires good skills to make raw usable (if at all you can do with dng of tiny sensors).

Apple are doing this from the beginning and they are selling millions, and so will Samsung.

At half of the price, it can be good compromise for a amatorial photographer (nomSD, no removable battery = low longevity and freedom).
Painted/wiped photo isn't good... but you won't notice it at low resolution.
