We have two 2012 nexus 7, they both worked fine on 5.1, 5.1.1 has rendered both useless, both really slow to start, sluggish and reaction to touch terrible.rooted one and gone back to 4.4.4 and is back to working great....

AnonD-393104, 07 May 2015Well, I hope it undoes some of the damage 5.1 did. My Nexus 7 has been dreadfully slow and lag... moreI am already pretty impressed with 5.1. As for 5.1.1, no issue with it yet. 5.0 is of course dead slow

My nexus is running well on 5.1 better than ever. I wiped it when it came out and it runs fine.

Not sure about others. But 5.1.1 update has fixed and made my Nexus 7 2012 a lot smoother. My nexus 7 had laggy and stalling behavior with update 5.1. Its working great now. Hope it continues to...

Do not update if you want to see your phone favorites information. !!!!!! Horrible update !!!!

This update makes it impossible to distinguish between contacts that begin with the same name as they are in a bubble view. They need to make this more user friendly and provide a favorite listing as a list with name and contact info just like the recently called list.

I tried to install the Android over the air update to version 5.1.1 and my Nexus 7 2013 edition is stuck on the Google screen. The tablet is not rooted and is totally stock the way it came. I have been reading that Android 5.0 has caused the issue but I have yet to find a solution.

Received my update 2 days ago on my Nexus 7 2013 wifi edition, it is smooth as butter, now on the other hand my LG G Pad 8.3 is still on 4.4.2 and has become a lag fest "the Nexus runs circles around it", LG can go suck an egg, never buying anything from them again.

Its the full responsibility of Google to provide updates to Nexus. But in ur case its LG who should give them and u can't blame Google for it.
