My Samsung S6 Edge+ failed 3 days ago. After overnight charging as usual, unplugged it and tried to switch it on: nothing. Plugged it in and it showed the identity screen ("Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + powered by android") and a blue startup screen with 0% battery and a message about installing update. That cycle repeated a few times until I unplugged it.
Since then it ignores all button press combinations. Plugged in, it cycles through the identity screen (10 seconds) and a black screen (5 seconds). A Samsung brick.

Did latest update for my s6 overnight woken to black and white samsung logo flashing.it did this for 8 hours, couldnt turn on or off. i went to phone shop first thing this morning and they have no idea how to fix told me that they can completely reset but no garentee this will fix issue. This update has completey bugged my phone. I havent reseted as im hoping to find some magical way online to resolve issue as i have so much saved to this phone some backed up some not. Has anyone had any luck

Just take it to a Samsung Center in your town, and get them fix it regardless it is still under warranty or not. I was told there is a battery setting problem that was causing the batt leak so fast after firmware upgrade. Hence they replaced mine one with a new S6.
ZM, 20 Mar 2018Since the firmware update the battery life has changed drastically. Please check. That happens to all Samsung with faulty battery, go to a Samsung center and get them fixed or demand a replacment of a new one.

WE MUST insist that it is Samsung product faulty, they have to fix or replace it with a new one.

My edge updated overnight without notice. Today my touch screen stops working repeatedly and I cannot get into any apps , not even to use the phone, text, anything. I can click and use my camera but cannot get into anything else. What do I do?
This update you guys talking about is it Oreo update? is it really bad?

Also notice the phone is hot around th... moreThis update is really bad i can see my phone draining really fast 5 minutes and i see it drop and my keyboard on my phone is also bad cant type fast anymore because i have to type words again because the keyboard doesnt pick the letters i choose after 3 times it does work now let me type without re writing the words this phon is not working vorrectly i hate this update becaus it drans my battery really fast its so annying

I am having the same battery problem since the recent software update. Battery was at 70% then overnight it drained to 5% without any usage and with all unnecessary apps disabled. Need a software update to correct this please!

Did the update in February and phone froze, took 15 mins of pressing all the buttons to get it back on. Will not be doing another update. O2 have said phone can last up to a year without doing the update but will just be a little slow.
