Samsung Stop pretesting upgrade! it is not professional. run your upgrade several times with designated user agreeing to test your upgrade, then run a test analysis, then run a second test analysis, then when everything has been tested, battery, all main apps, priority: tel settings, contacts, alarm, all main settings, calendar, then if everything runs better and faster, allow your upgrade to be launched. my next phone: apple. thanks for your time
My s6 is moving SUPER slow now! Battery sucks as usual...but just opening the phone log takes forever!

LacombeL, 21 Dec 2016This latest "update" turned my S6 into a brick. Since it is over 12-months old, I am SOL. Ge... moreSame here a nice $500 brick that is 2 months off warranty... If you aren't going to rigoriously test your updates before putting them out you could atleast allow the consumer to downgrade the software. I wouldn't say switching to apple is the answer as someone in the comments above said, but there are other options out there that treat their customers better. I used to love samsung, started liking them less when they started purposely damaging hardware if you flashed something not signed by samsung (knox e-fuse), now this is the last straw, i spent good money to buy this device outright, just to have it become useless to anyone right after warranty expires, samsubg will never get another cent from me again
Had same problem with my 6 after 12/28 update. Took my phone to verizon, my carrier. Recent update included Google security updates. Delete all security programs on your phone. Like cm cleaner and boost. They clash with security update. After all were Uninstalled, my phone worked. All issues reversed.
Battery is draining very fast now. Dropped from 80% to 40% without any use in an hour. It is getting very warm on charging now as well.
*iPhones do not have as many free apps as android. 50k vs 300k on Android(@least it was in 2013)
*Apps you have now you like and you are used to on Android, may not be available on iphone. And if they are, they may not be free to you as they are on Android.
*Iphones have updates also noone likes. The things you dont like or the options of how apps or other things work, or not work, are the decissions of your carrier, not the brand phone you have or buy. What your happy with now on Android, may not be the case once you get an iPhone-as with any change like from Windows to iMac, or Android to iPhone.
*Compatability of your phones supply cord hookup on iPhone will not be compatible with any other brand phone, where as any usb on any phone other than iPhones is compatible with any other make and model of any device. So in the case of running low on battery, you cant borrow your friends cord if they have a Mototola or anything other than an iPhone.
*Iphones compatible devices are more expensive to buy than any other branded phone or their compatible devices. As with iMac vs Windows.
God Save the Planet & WTH Samsung....
I have a S^ Edge & had bought in India [64 GB] paying a bombshell... Not sure why did I when I had lot of other better models... In any case post the warranty period even the service centers treat us so bad & worth nothing BTW just a piece of shit...
Yes after updating the latest software the the phone auto restarts / over heating whilst charging & even otherwise its warm at all times.. The best part is now all applications minimizes & maximizes automatically & making my life miserable to even use.
All i heard was now with new flagship in the market the value is lost & no one even wants to buy this brick... God save us the samsung users!
I did the latest update last week. I now have a new phone :( Would stay open in any app. Kept saying not split screen compatible. Would keep flashing from app to screen with all own apps. Couldn't do anything. Luckily it was under warranty and a new one was sent to me. New one wanting to do the update but I'm avoiding it! Hated that I couldn't use my camera for my daughter's first Christmas!
Samsung is becoming suck! Apple is looking better all the time! I'm most likely switching to Aapple extremely soon...
Just did the update to my S6 Edge Christmas night!!! WTH SAMSUNG?! HUGE problems with my phone now - home key doesn't work at all unless phone is on charger; phone is very glitchy now and goes to black screen in the middle of doing something flashing blue light but doing nothing else til it goes back on the charger. The off button on side isn't responsive most of the time. The entire phone has significantly slowed its response time and it wasn't too terrific before. I'm sooooo over this brand and my carrier (with the V)! Thousands paid per year (~$2,400 for 3 lines of service and phone payment plans) which is a travesty alone but made exponentially worse being frustrated with non-functioning expensive phones.
