To Note 2 users: your warranty period is probably over already, so if you want Lollipop badly just go to XDA Forums and flash one. It's not hard.
But to be honest, official Lollipop does not bring much except for ART. So I went for a custom TW ROM, giving me a few features from newer models. Right now my Note 3 has everything from Note 4, but performs same as on KK.
Those features won't change my life, nor will make my device better.
If you want a better phone, buy one.
If you want latest system updates go for Nexus or visit XDA.
Don't blame your device's manufacturer for not supporting it endlessly, it costs money you are not giving them anymore.

Anonymous, 09 May 2015Why not ? If loyal customers keep buying Samsung phones year in year out with hard earnt cash ... moreAside from the fact that it's justifiable for the company who puts the most money into RnD and advertisement, and uses the most expensive and advanced parts in their high end devices to charge more than others...

Who else is giving updates to a device that old? Of yeah... Nobody.
You literally just came to a post proving Samsung is giving more updates to their flagship's than any other android OEM to claim that they are scanning and bad in updates.

My Note II is currently on Kit Kat 4.4.2 and it's perfectly perfect, whereas my Sony Z Ultra is now on Lollipop and I have issues with some apps and not happy with the new look of notification which gives less notification than before !!

                                      Shocking!!!!!
You mean to tell me that there is an update for it??? Even though that one Facebook comment said that there won't be?

Even though Samsung already confirmed it themselves a while ago?
                                      No way. So surprising.
