They already made it a beautiful outcome on 8mp camera how much more on 12mp.
It would be great to see apple stepping forward. Nowadays 16 and 20mp cameras are the high end. I'm not saying that this is what is needed in order to take great photos, but it's surely what's needed to take big photos. My phone has 8.1mp camera which can take 3280x2460p photos, and I'm more than satisfied with the size. Keep in mind that I have a Sony Ericsson W995, which has a bigger camera sensor than all smartphones.
Anyway, it's not the photo size that matters the most. 8mp is more than enough.
guys i don think so cause both are from the same source u can check it out if u want to
I for one, accept the extra pixels from our mobile camera overlords.
Anonymous, 16 May 2015i think iphone camera is not made for dark photo captureAny phone camera isn't made for taking dark photos.
But that's one reason why Apple bought Linx camera company, it makes lot less noisier lowlight photos.
i think iphone camera is not made for dark photo capture
AnonD-164032, 16 May 2015Nokia N8 says hello!Yeah ur right
Waw!!! nice dats lots of improvement
Makes me worried, right now the iPhone has a pixel pitch of 1.5 and I doubt they'll put a camera bump on their phones, so the pixel pitch will have to decrease :\
And yet It can do 240fps of slow motion video at 720p
Wonder how many other devices do this
12MP is probably about right for a smaller sensor. Otherwise noise is prevalent, to be counteracted with overly aggressive processing, which results in lower quality detail than if you had started with a lower pixel count, but cleaner shot....
As to 2160p, a 20MP small chip is simply incapable of delivering passable 2160p material. Yes, the pixel count is there, but between noise, compression artifacts and attempts to reprocess to make it watchable, we are still better off with a decent quality 1080p.
Particularly as interpolation algorithms will have improved by the time screens large enough to benefit from 2160p are available.
2160p is irrelevant on anything less than 90", unless you pull up a chair really close to the screen.
Lumia 1020 will kill u iphone6s camera
Anonymous, 15 May 2015Why not 9 MP? It's enough for 4k videos, and pixel size would be greater...image stabilization needs more pixels
AnonD-365724, 15 May 2015IPhone 6 and 6plus cost nearly Rs. 60k in india. Wonder how much in 6s and 6s plus will be. ... moreAnd that 60 k is with air tel contract while paying additional 3 to 4 k a month on bills, unlimited SMS. (Who still use SMS I wonder)
