Could anyone tell me why my z1 hasn't gotten the new update 5.0 or whatever it is is. Phone is now starting to lag, battery draining quicker and few other niggles. It's just over 12mth old so I didn't think that was the issue. I love my sony but I'm ready to break it :(

Sony needs to lift their game out of contract soon and may go to Samsung after this rubbish...

After lollipop update, my phone always lag and restarting itself. Sometimes the screen is always wallpapers without any icons so I need to restart it. Battery drained faster. And NFC is not working. Everytime I open my NFC it is automatically off in just 1-2 seconds and cannot use it anymore.

Just read the email which had this link on it. Still no update for my Z1 in Brisbane, Queensland Australia with Telstra... Spoke to a fellow with a Z3 and he got update 23 weeks ago, so as usual very slow here...

Hades, 21 May 2015Just perform a Master Reset that will fix, but you will lose your information.Thanks for replying.
I've tried everything, like keeping the red button next to the sim tray pressed for up to a minute, that just switches the phone off.
I've also tried to hold the Power+Volume Down buttons together, all that does is restart the device.
Alternatively, Power Key + Volume Up does nothing, and Power Key+Volume up+Volume Down+ Camera button, all at the same time also do nothing.
Is there something I'm missing here? I don't mind losing all my data as I backed it up before the update luckily. But now the problem is I have no way of getting past the blank screen (where I should be entering my pin).
Is there a Factory Reset method that can be done before the pin stage? as nothing I've tried so far listed above has worked!
