anish, 22 May 2015go for Nokia! As soon as Nokia releases an Android phone!
Anonymous, 21 May 2015Mediatek means no custom ROMs so its a no go for me despite the specs and price...TONS of custom roms: needrom.com
Anon, 21 May 2015Cheap for a reason, don't expect any updates at all.
P3000S owner here, the most recent El... moreThat happens all the time, and there is a reason for it.
Developers are many, and so are the android platforms they develop on. Whenever (unfortunately) there is a new release update, whether official or custom ROM, it is hastily and immediately rushed and uploaded---distributed---before fully testing them-- or they were tested, but someone failed to put "beta" before the version #. Or failed to mention it is "highly unstable", "useless" and point out ALL known bugs. Therefore preventing the user from having to Roll Back to a previous stable version. Because of Chronology, recent uploads are favored over older ones because they are assumed to be most stable. That's not always the case.
AnonD-286474, 21 May 2015Waiting for a basic phone with massive battery for only making calls and sending messages.go for Nokia!
Anonymous, 21 May 2015Nice, will have a removable battery too. All they need is to add more frequencies, like WCDMA9... moreP8000 supports WCDMA 1, 8( 2100, 900)
thenerd, 21 May 2015in value for money yes, but raw performance forgetGeekbench says it's faster than Snapdragon810. Maybe because unlike SD810 this one doesn't throttle, ja, ja, ja....
Really would have loved to see either a speaker grill on the bottom or front facing speakers. But I guess nothing can be perfect.
techmad, 21 May 2015That's a good looking phone! And at $210 it's extreme value!! Not that i'm going to buy this, ... more6752/3 is not a high end processor. Its actually a mid range phone.
Nice, will have a removable battery too. All they need is to add more frequencies, like WCDMA900, which was missing in their previous models.
Lovely phone.. But please elephone, get your act together! The black borders around the screen look RUBBISH. The only thing putting me off buying an elephone at the moment.
Guys, please let me know:-
1. Is this available in India?
2. If yes, what price and how to get it?
Please help. Thanks in advance...
That's a good looking phone! And at $210 it's extreme value!! Not that i'm going to buy this, but this trend of high end hardware for reasonable price will hopefully one day push the big brands to make flagships more affordable
0.65 KG ??????

Anonymous, 21 May 2015Mediatek means no custom ROMs so its a no go for me despite the specs and price...Who told you that? Search for Elephone P6000 custom roms and you will get plenty among them available is CyanogenMod, so do your research before claiming no custom roms, since the new 64-bit mtk processors arrived they also released the source code to developers so that they can develop roms.
I won't take risk to buy this device.
thenerd, 21 May 2015in value for money yes, but raw performance forgetThat's right. The S6 is probably the better performer but it's the package which counts. Samsung was always a step ahead Apple with the SD slot, removable batter etc. But now they are copying Apple, features and design. Samsung shot in their own feet with this move.
