Nokia seems to be packing "old wine in new bottle" for quiet a long time........same phones being released again with minor upgrades......Nokia - watch out or tough days ahead..........
Bill, 07 Nov 2009How are they losing the race? Name another company that has gone worldwide in thier millions, ... moreIt's one of desperate move from nokia, their handset keeps falling behind in sales compare to the competitors, yet they're still doing the worst trick in marketing : cheating loyal customers & repeating mistakes from their past,so it's clear now what's ahead in 2010 for nokia :
1)The market leader position will have a new winner, unless nokia could come up with a remarkable product like they did in the first launch of N-series.
2)The high end market will be ruled by either HTC,Apple,Blackberry, and even Samsung might have a chance in this position, don't expect too much on N900,that'll be a nasty failure like N97.
3)The middle range market will also be hard for nokia,as Samsung,LG and not to mention the dying SE could make their return to make nokia loose here.
4)As for the low end, various chinese brands and others---same old news,Samsung & LG are also here---already penetrate nokia's market.
The only thing that keep nokia from free fall to the abyss in 2009 is the brand, along with support from loyal fans, but let's just see how long it'd last.
Nokia is old,too tired to fight,it's time for their long hibernation, just give it up to otther
Bill, 07 Nov 2009How are they losing the race? Name another company that has gone worldwide in thier millions, ... moreHi Bill, we are talking on high end phone. Nokia is definately losing market share and trying hard to catch up. But with X6 price positioning it will fail again.

Name another company that has gone worldwide in thier millions, signing up with big time names, reaching out to developing countries, India/China and the rest of Asia where markets are vast, innovating in new technologies and totally rebranding the open source Maemo platform. No, Nokia aren't losing the race, they're very much going to bigger markets to catch bigger fish where other markets are ailing. Got facts that Nokia are losing the race, no? The STFU and one must assume you are just one of those fanboys of the other manufacturers that has a distate for Nokia. You claim to have been a nokia fan, however, IMO that appears to be full of BS.
shak, 06 Nov 2009Very costly phone..........instead i love to go for iphone.....which is much better and faster... moreHmmm....I very much doubt you were a Nokia fan. Once an Apple fanboy, always an apple fanboy, don't talk BS.
Let's see, the X6 is priced at $800USD vs the 5800 at $200USD, so that means the X6 is 4x better than the 5800? Nah, keeping my 5800 for now...
