$876.00 USD??? D:
Ouch.
Man, that's way too expensive, even for a phone that gives unlimited songs downloading for one full year, something that is very attractive, but the price itself may scare more than one.
It's a nice experiment, very expensive, but nice anyway, and if it works it would be a great option for music downloading, even better than iTunes.
all fanboys better wait for the n900 and the maemo generation @_@
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2009Well, of course you CAN illegally download the music, but everyone these days seems to forget ... moreIn reply to your comment. Iphone and itune. Nokia will not even get near. Your are right to fill the 32 gb with music will cost thousand me dollar. X6 will fail. Again this is my personal opinion.
Nokia nowaday just a follower. Not like use too, big boy that command the market and other phone company will follow Nokia phone design.
Nokia lose the music thing and please focus on OVI store. Lot application in OVI store is crab.
Anonymous, 06 Nov 2009Well, of course you CAN illegally download the music, but everyone these days seems to forget ... moreSo who do you know personally really owns 32GB of music in their phones?
I've an 8GB card in my phone but with pics and everything else, I only used up a bit more than 4GB.
If 32GB = US$1000, 3.2GB would only costs $100, so the PHONE is really worth US$700?
wtf 580 euros? that's more than the HD2
Anon E. Mouse, 06 Nov 2009Your argument is invalidated by the fact that the 5800XM also featured 'Comes With Music' and ... moreThat phone only came with 8GB of memory, and maxes out at 16GB (and you have to pay extra for that). The earbuds it comes with are pretty pathetic standard ones as well.
Now I didn't realize that phone had Comes With Music as well, so now that you've pointed it out I will admit it is a bit overpriced, but only a bit. What you're getting here is worth atleast 400 pounds imo
Nokias gone crazy now with it touch screen mobiles but they are keeping people away from buying them making them to expensive to buy,if the camera was better an fascia made in metal not plastic then o.k the price might be o.k,but all we get from Nokia is there refurbished material Plastic, hope now with the sales decline at Nokia hope something happens so they change there strategy,an Please Nokia not just 5 mega-pixel camera mobiles all the time or loads of fans will start buying alternative mobiles instead
Anonymous, 05 Nov 2009Same old Nokia crap, bulky and expensive. what's high end about this phone to justify the pric... moreWell, of course you CAN illegally download the music, but everyone these days seems to forget that is infact illegal. Hey, I do it too, but that doesn't make it any more legal.
For anyone who go out of their way to get music downloads legally - and those people do exist considering iTunes store popularity - a couple hundred dollars for unlimited free music downloads is a pretty sweet deal. On iTunes, filling up a 32 Gig music player would cost well over a thousand dollars (assuming $1/song).
And don't forget the mid-range headphones that are coming bundled in, those have to be worth atleast the 30 pounds at the end of the price.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to get this phone, but it's marketed at a very specific demographic and for them it's not a bad deal.
And lol at Limewire. This isn't 2003.
(I'm Canadian so I went with American Dollar values becuase I'm more familiar with that)
wow for this crap 600e ?? I will bay HTC HD 2.
[deleted post]Your argument is invalidated by the fact that the 5800XM also featured 'Comes With Music' and it didn't cost anywhere near as much as the X6 will.
"And once again GSMArena users fail to be able to see anything from any other point of view than their own.
This phone is clearly meant to be used primarily as a music player with an internet connection, with its phone capability being a secondary function. This phone isn't just a phone, it's an experiment to see if people will be willing to pay for music downloads if it is charged as one flat yearly fee as opposed to per-song. The reason the price is so high is probably because record companies are gouging Nokia on the royalties for this thing to even exist. If you just want a phone, or a smartphone, Nokia offers that, so calm down. This isn't for you."
deep space bar is somewhere waiting to tell us this is the next best thing since sliced bread and his crappy 5800.........
Same old Nokia crap, bulky and expensive. what's high end about this phone to justify the price ?
5 megapixel
no xenon flash
thick
dark age OS
400mhz processor
VGA video recording
3.2' screen
No OLED
no card slot
Music ? LOL. ever heard of Limewire and iTunes ? Nokia for the last time you have lost everyone
Another flop from Nokia. No matter how much Nokia try to push this... This will go down the toilet like the N96.
Nokia please wake up!
With the rise of Adroid phones, this merely middle touchscreen phone comes up with 550euro tag price! Wow!
It's only ignorant people or die hard nokia fans that would buy within this price range, and not too much of them these days anymore.
I use HTC Hero. the touch flo is so smooth, perform multitouch, and has higher CPU clock than this phone. Only comes with Usd 500! Can X6 beats HTC Hero? Lol. Even iphone can't!
Maybe in music departement X6 wins, but this is a touchscreen phone. if I want it for the music so badly I can find many cheaper phones than this.
290 euro is more appropriate price
BIG FAT LOL! HD2 is cheaper than this,Nokia is sick!
why bring out a phone out which dosnt have many features, pathetic worst nokia phone i have ever seen, terrbile...
This phone is clearly made for music, its terrible!!
the most stupid nokia invention to date... nokia n97 is better than this and cheaper, because it has bigger screen and qwerty...
Ok capacitative is on this phone's advantage, but that's all there is to it.
Omnia HD is better than this then, and cheaper as well, it should be picked instead.
8gb enough for x6 .but card slot is problem like n95 8gb and 6500classic and all 8800
