What 2 buttons? I only press one button in my phone to unlock it...
Pressing two buttons is faster than sliding/unsliding this hook. Morever, an other mechanical part?
It doesn't look good either, but that's personal of course.
This is a very, very cool concept. As long as the hook is stable and will not brake off, it sounds good.
Naaaah! I dont know about the engineering and mechanics involved in this implementation....but for me it looks just like a moving part that will easily tear off, and seems fragile....bars are usually very robust devices...so its looks are not personally good for me, and looks surely count in this industry....thumbs down!
I dont think its a good idea. Getting a hook because its easier than locking it by pushing two buttons. How innovative is that?I appreciate the idea. But not on common things like this when people are okay to push 2 buttons to lock it and talk without an extra microphone. Cheers!!
The HOOK looks cool, but I'm afraid it's going to be one of those "it looks nice, but works like sh*t" phones. Every one who wanted one for the HOOK will dislike it because of the HOOK. Maybe I'm wrong, let's see when the people use it.
I could imagine a hybrid of slider and touchscreen phone. A smaller dual sliding part at the back which could work both as camera lens cover and have the microphone for better conversation. That makes sense to me. But not "Hook" for sure.
This is really not practical. a hook? c'mon... go back to the drawing board and i am sure you will come out with a better outcome than this. its like a phone with a bottle opener
I would place the hook in the back and make the screen bigger for when you are watching a movie you lower the hook and it stands on its own so you do not have it flat on the table but like a screen on the table
what can we take out from this? never trust a brazillian handcrafter that wants to add some fishy thingies to your phone :D
its really weird.. and totally makes no sence.. who wants to have a hairpin on their phone that can be even easilly bent? and wont the slide/flip thing take more time to do than just push a button or 2?! i mean by the time you manage to put your fingers around it and start pulling or flipping.. just has no sence.. for that there are phones with sliding or flipping mechanism rofl
I don't think you can call this a new form factor because of one part is flipping or sliding. SE andNokia have sliding camera lenses that automatically starts the camera so they too have functionality not only give protection and they are not considered as a new form factor. I also think this design is useless.
This gets a post on the news section? What a stupid idea. Bluetooth mics are huge distances from the mouth and they work fine, same can be true for phones in "unique" designs. Also, a hook to unlock/lock? That's better than a toggle bottom or slider? Complete garbage. I guess I wouldn't mind if I read this on Forbes or some other website that didn't know any better, but this is GSMArena. It's almost insulting here.
