i was using lumia 740 and i lost it due to some reasons. it was good and after that I am waiting from past 3 months to purchase lumia 840. still not at released . so i am thinking weather to switch to other brand or what. still i will wait for 1 more week if not other brand. There are more no of people by this type so let microsoft release new phones as much as fast.

it is 940 xl for sure. coz u cant expect 840 on 38000 around or a 38000 around phone for 20000. even before tax.

The Lumia 830 was a tweak on the Lumia 820 it may as weel have been called the lumia 820S to follow Apple
What is odd is that Microsoft now realises that they must offer significant improvements so that people stay with Microsoft when they upgarde
It would appear that this Lumia 840 will infact be the Lumia 640 XL LTE with 16Gb onboard memory instead of 8Gb so massive screen and weight increase!!

5.7 inches dwarfs the galaxy S6 5.1 screen.

Its more likely 940XL at this price point. Too expensive to be 840.
Anyway hopefully there will be normal version with 5" sceen. 5.7" is ridiculous and abnormal.

So its not just a device for making calls. it's more than that.

5.7 inch is so pathetic. Why does every mobile wants to be a phablet. 5 inch is the limit. 830 is such an awesome phone but it's successor will be a 5.7 inch behemoth. Yeah windows is a productive os but still.... And yeah the price also appears to be an issue. 830 failed due to being 10k over budget. This appears to be a bigger fail because in that budget iPhones and Samsung Galaxies will appeal more to Indians(I know it's not indicative of final price but it will be likely around it)
