The updates barely update which only further emphasizes your claim. If they barely update or change anything then why does it make the devices so bogged down?
And all the app crashes and bugs. It's supposed to be so easy to update for those reasons, but still all the bogging, restrictions, crashes, and bugs are always there.
But then everyone denies it, calls it optimizations, and claims it runs perfect.
Android MNC. Android Mobile Network and Communications.
there will be no more candy coated or sugar filled nicknames anymore. only one unified OS and the updates afterwards.
Source:...........will remain anonymous. Android Mobile OS. I thinks it's better that way anyway.
Here in Australia, manufacturers are legally required to provide two year warranties, and most people connected to a monthly/post-paid cellular service sign a two-year contract...
Given the growing threat in identity theft, electronic and cyber-crimes, it makes sense that Google provide security updates for at least three years - though this is a policy other manufacturers should follow.
Anonymous, 26 May 2015wow, even google only supports 18-24 months of their products? No wonder people are loyal to appleYes, Apple keeps updating the phones after 2 years but is it any better ? If you update a 2+ years old iPhone it starts to lag. It is just Apple's strategy. When you update 2+ years old iPhone it starts to lag and you go and buy the latest iPhone. It is that simple.

Goodbye Android! I will never ever buy an expensive Android flagship, that cost more than a great laptop, if I only get 2 years of updates! And buying an older cheaper Android is stupid because it will get even less time with updates if any at all! This proves Android, and Google, sucks!
Windows 10 is not yet released but already gained almost 2,5% of Windows mobile devices. While Android 5.0 is still under 10% over half a year after release.
you don't have to believe it.
updates will come as long as the performance and features of the phone supports the majority of the new OS or update.
This is SHAME for Nexus and Google...
I can understand 2 years from HTC/Samsung, but from Google fro a Nexus device i would think 3+ years for new OS should be what usesr ask from Nexus... not?
My Nexus 5 is like a brand new phone... so I will get only one more Android upgrade? next time Sony... same support and way better phones....
Let us enjoy lolipop, no need for a new iteration give it a break Google. My S4 works brilliantly with Lolipop
OTA for 5.1.1 has just arrived for me. Nexus 5, bought from Google Play Germany. Registered on Vodafone Romania. Now in Amsterdam Netherlands.
Anonymous, 26 May 2015Jelly Bean 4.1 and 4.2 are good balance between battery and performance.
Android 5.0 are bad ... moreLollipop made my nexus 7 terrible even after a few hard resets. 4.4.4 worked great.
And for what advantage? All I can see different is everything's got a white background instead of black
Anonymous, 26 May 2015As Android updates improve speed and battery life, iOS updates suck your battery life and lag... moreAre you sure? I have a friend that owns an ipad 2. And she didn't even encountered those issues that your talking about. And also she can still get HD apps on ios appstore. Where any of those Newest HD games can be played on a 4 year old device?
As a 2 and a half year android user
