I flashed a 4.4.4 rom back to my A7, it went into a soft brick after using odin.
Luckily I could recover through samsung kies3 using "firmware upgrade and initialization" from the menu. So back on lollipop I downloaded the correct rom for my A7 which comes from austria and not germany.
Whether this makes a difference or not, the second flash went flawless and I was back on 4.4.4
So keep in mind to use the correct firmware for your device.
I have a samsung store close by so in any event I can go there and let them flash my phone. But if it's not close by you'd better be carefull.
On a side note, immidiately switch off auto software update, I forgot and had the lollipop update within minutes back on my phone, and it kept nagging me to update ever since. With no legal way to dosable this.
So beware.

you can install android 4.4.4 by downloading android 4.4.4 for a7 and install using odin

i really very disappointed with call logs i dont want to erase my personal data its very important lot of reminders are there lot of messages my phone cost is 50 lacs i dont want to loose it . i went to the service centre they simply wants to format the phone which i dont want if my problem will not resolve i will never by this fucking phone again in future

Those who are facing of battery problem by updating the 241 mb pack please follow this. You have to charge your phone 100% after charging the phone upto 70/80% for 6 or 7 times or you should charge your phone 100% every day. If you don't charge your phone upto 95% the battery backup will not that great.It will definately solve your problem.
