so far very smooth. apps all running as i had only install minimal apps. however after reading many comments, i realised yes.. the battery drain a little bit faster. no heating problem so far. 2nd day on lollipop

After update battery drain very fast like 10 parcent even the phone ideal for 2 hours

No heating problem but battery does seem to drain faster. Overall smoother though.

Initially updated with third party Rom 4.2 sound camera and other options were very good finally updated with samsung original 5.02 where comparatively cannot compete with third party rom any how no problems in 5.02 quality speed camera sound is good and no issues

Got lollipop update for A7 (India). After update, the phone got too much heated (more than 60 degrees C) and was very slow. Once the phone was switched off and re-started after update, then everything worked fine. No heating, no hanging and the OS was smooth than before. Also the battery improved.

Did the update and went flawless. Touchwiz is slightly smoother. Overall handling is smoother. Games run the same.
No heating issues thusfar, no hard lockups or freezing.
Color scheme is ugly but overall no issues yet.
I did whipe the chache before updating though, just to avoid any issue.
The apps I use all run perfect.
Overall worth it, but not a major change from kitkat 4.4.4
