no need for QHD, 720p or 1080p is enough for me..
QHD means more battery for apps and gaming..
    with more ram and storage..

A 5 inch screen is not a mini.

Way to go Moto on the mini. Except Sony, no other major manufacturer makes a top tier mini. Not Samsung, LG, HTC, none of them. All of their minis are 2nd and 3rd tier. Great way to grab some market share. Find a niche and fill it. I have been waiting for this for quite some time. Hopefully, it will have a half way decent camera and battery life, but even if it doesn't, I will probably get it anyway. Not many options in this market segment.

Anonymous, 27 May 2015That's Motorola.....the lost legend. I m not exaggerating and many would agree with me that wh... more100% agree with you. This 4.6 screen Moto would definitely a break-through in this era of large uncomfortable phones. The ideal size for a "phone" is between 125 to 135mm with 4.5 to 4.7 screen. Pocket friendly especially for jeans and chino pockets.

With SD 810 and other brilliant hardware, I would eagerly wait for this ideal phone. After reading this I m now feeling low for my IPhone 6. Lol.

And there is a misinformation in this news, Moto Turbo/Maxx have a QHD display not 1080p.

Brazil gets all Motorola models, and it is assembled locally. And Moto is one of the most popular brands around here, you see Moto E, G and X everywhere. When Moto Maxx came out, we were the first country where it was released!

In 6 months time after these are released. Price cuts/drops are sure coming because no one is buying moto anymore.

MotoX 2015 and Droid mini. There are no other handsets that match the criteria but those. The MotoX is rumored with the 808 and the 810 will be improved by the time the mini droid is released.

Cool to see QHD going mainstream as a normal display resolution. Pretty soon we will have 4-5k handset displays, while our Tvs will explode to 10k Oled screens.

                            Literally windows into other countries.

I dunno what to say, but I like 4.6" inch screens, 5"+ is way too big for my taste.

Just my $0.01 (Used to be $0.02, but due to the recession we've had to make cutbacks.)

Guys ... you seem to be missing out some info ... last years Turbo Droid was a 1440 ppi, in fact it was few of the first (I guess just next to LG G3) handset to have that kind of density.
