Blech. If we get two new Nexus devices using Qualcomm chipsets from LG and Huawei, they will almost certainly use Qualcomm's mediocre Fluence noise cancellation.
Perhaps LG will go back to the Audience noise cancellation chip, which they have used in a couple of their own phones, but I doubt they'd do it in a midrange phone. And Huawei has almost no history of using the Audience chip.
I wish Google has stuck with Motorola and their four microphone noise cancellation. They could update the Nexus 6 with it's current design and introduce a 5.2" phone based on the 2014 Moto X. Then you would have two phones with the same design language, good noise cancellation, and overall one of the nicest phone designs out there.
Anonymous, 27 May 2015Lolipop 5.1.1 works fine and is about as fast as kitkat and sometimes faster. 5.0 was buggy, thoughstill lollipop looks ugly comparing to kitkat :)
Anonymous, 27 May 2015Am I the only one who isn't excited!?Not at all, nobody here + me included are not excited for this.
YAWN GOOGLE. Its going to be boring dev confrence like last year. Remember that. All that hype with Google. Its bust. No limelight for you Google anymore, that was 2013. Apple time was last year, Time is up for both. This is MS time and spotlight this year.
AnonD-83537, 27 May 2015This time Microsoft will shake Google... Google's time is over! They were shouting much for lo... moreLolipop 5.1.1 works fine and is about as fast as kitkat and sometimes faster. 5.0 was buggy, though
Nexus 5 (2015) need to contained this basic specs:
1.Display.- 5.2"inches WQHD - IPS-Neo Quantum - CGG4 - 565~ppi
2.Memory.- 4GB LPDDR4 ram
3.Chipset.- Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 7420
Let it be with new screen, more brightness, sharpnes, faster, power consumation, hard mid-range smartphone
I still stand for Macaroon\Macaron.
Other than that, not expecting much from this major OS update. They need to find a way to update all eligible devices at once.
While phablets are always just phablets, I mostly care about ARA over anything else.
