Interesting bug. Yet I dont wanna get involved out of fear of retribution.

Funny bug, but easy to solve:
From the Photos, select a photo and send it to yourself using the iMessage(icon appears below the photos).
If you want to avoid being bothered by jokesters, just disable iMessage from Settings-Messages-iMessage off. You'll still receive messages, but as SMSes and MMSes.

The best solution is to send yourself a photo from the Galery app.
