The multinationals face stiff competition from Indian and Chinese manufacturers. For immediate return of revenue they fix price absurdly high and unfortunately some dumb (techies!) pepole also support this. Just refuse overpriced products and force them to price cut. Good luck.

I am sure price would be a bit lesser may be after a bit.
Only because of those people (Samsung, iPhone fanboys), these companies are still booming. Otherwise other companies offer good or even better features, reliability, better value for money etc etc.

Too costly. Wait till year end, it will be sold at around 550-600USD (Rs 35000) in India.Look S6 is available at Rs 40k now. But its great news to hear that india is getting flagship dual sim phones.

Well. It is priced at 51500 ($810) but is being sold officially at rs. 49900 which is ~ $780.
And that is for the leather variant.. The plastic one is going to be sold at Rs. 45000 which would be around $705.
Still pretty expensive.. but $810 sounds a lot worse.
