Anonymous, 15 Aug 2015Trust me don't update ur device to lolipop it'll make the devi slow and programs self close is... moreYou can revert to KitKat 4.4.2
I did it accidentally on my Galaxy S5 SM-G900t which had 5.1.1 The phone had problems with popups "Unfortunately Deamon has stopped" "Unfortunately this and that has stopped" Ok wouldn't quit the pop-ups. After researching I found the only way to fix was to do a factory reset.
Factory reset didn't stop the problem, so I decided to flash a New Firmware with Odin.
I downloaded the tar.md5 file for TMobile and loaded my new firmware which I thought was 5.1.1 but turned out to be 4.4.2 KitKat. The phone runs fine now, No Program has stopped messages no more. TMobile has an update waiting for me -- I'm sure its to 5.1.1 Now if I only could stop the update message. But you can revert, just find the md5 file and Odin and use PDA = AP in Odin and visit thedroidway dot com to download the files.
adil, 01 Jun 2015still no lollipop update on my galaxy s5 (g900f)!!! :( why its taking so long??Trust me don't update ur device to lolipop it'll make the devi slow and programs self close issue and such a things i wish i could downgrade to kitkat
This information is wrong Optus confirmed it is the 5.0 not 5.0.2... they already updated the site and mentioned that they don't have any information on 5.0.2 or future version... https://community.optus.com.au/t5/Android/Android-Software-Updates-25-05-2015/td-p/118269
M.G, 01 Jun 2015hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Come on Samsung! you are no match to Sony! Sony already gave ... moreThat's because Shamsung has to add their crappy Crapwiz skin to an already laggy OS named Lagdroid I mean Android.lol
This is just laughable, or it would be if it were not so tragic or should that be the other way around!? Samsung are finally pushing out a 5.0.2 update several months after 5.1 is released and after 5.1.1 is offically available too. LG have already pushed out 5.0.2 updates to their devices and are testing 5.1 now. The G4 will come with 5.1 out of the box. This has ominous overtones of what happened with the Note 2. The 5.1 updates will come out after their next flagship ships with it. The next flagship being the Note 5. Nothing less than a cynical marketing ploy!
Samsung should have waited for 5.1.2
Lollipop is a disaster, 4.4 is way better brings nothing
the same with Android M
wasted time of Samsung
still no lollipop update on my galaxy s5 (g900f)!!! :( why its taking so long??
There is a famous saying...if it ain't broke don't fix it. I have a S5 which came with Kitkat 4.4.2 and I have no problems whatsoever with it. It's fast, stable, buttery smooth, never crashed nor froze, never had to do battery pull, doesn't lag, no connectivity issues, no dropped calls and best of all, good battery life. So why on earth should I update? Why should I risk the excellent experience by changing the OS? I'm not frightened over updates which apparently, some of you are.
They have released in the UK a 400 MB micro update which fixed the camera issue. Still, the WIFI has some difficulties to connect. The battery life has improved as well. Let's see the 5.0.2
Too bad that you are paying so much money and receiving so crap service. After 4 years of Samsung phones I'm thinking to find a different brand.
Ash, 01 Jun 2015Scamsung, what about Note 3 users? Wifi issues, battery draining, device overheating, lag etc ... moreDon't get me started.. apple has too many flaws as well! users thinks it to be a great device for no apparent reason. Apple has brainwashed most of the people and created a image which it is not! An ios device also gets more app crashes than a android device as per a recent survey!
you may live in your dream world! Go back to sleep kid
