Got the update more than a week ago in Bangladesh. Using Symphony Roar A50 which is also an android one smartphone. Android one rocks. \m/
I'm from the Philippines, yes i had already updated mine last nigh, things that i have noticed was my battery life. hope that google will support this device even if they said updates up to 2 years.
kmrl, 06 Jun 201511.8MB not a major update. But I thought from kitkat to lollipop is a major update!!! Or is it... morethere is no confusion in it. I updated my Micromax Canvas A1 (android one) from android 4.4.4 KitKat to android 5.1 Lollipop about a month ago and it was 406.9 MB to download and it was a major update.
2 days ago I updated my phone from android 5.1 to android 5.1.1 which was a minor update and it was only 11.8 MB to download.
I think your confusions are solved.
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2015Wtf how come all these ugly cheap phones receives faster update than my powerful and best gala... moreThese are not cheap phones... There are super cheap.. Lest than 100$.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2015Wtf how come all these ugly cheap phones receives faster update than my powerful and best gala... moreYeah man, they are the Google edition, unlike your heavily customisation of android by Korean giant. So u have to wait for them to customize the new edition. The south Korean brand is very slow in updating.
Anonymous, 06 Jun 2015Wtf how come all these ugly cheap phones receives faster update than my powerful and best gala... moreIt is a Google inititative for comsumers in developing countries and these devices from OEMs get their updates for up to 2 years, using almost stock Android like the Nexus series.
Hey, just to clarify.. The android one devices were updated from KitKat (4.4.4) to lollipop (5.1) a couple of months back.. This update to 5.1.1 is just a minor update to fix bugs and security fixes.. Hence the update is only 11.8MB. After the update my phone seems to be working smoother and much better memory management.
