What I really with they would do is combine all their best into one.
Take the Note, the Beam, and the Zoom.
A large Galaxy Note with a projector and a 10x optical zoom lens. Only with a much bigger sensor and aperture. And try to keep it within the 12mm range. Which would give room for a massive battery at least 6000mah if not more.
Add in no less than 4 speakers that are at least 84ish decibels a piece. 6 or 8 would be better.
FM radio, dual SD slot. 64-256GB
Maybe one with a keyboard but that would be even thicker. And I don't think they can add water resistance with the zoom lens and a keyboard. But if they key... By all means
SpaceWarrior, 12 Jun 2015Yep. I 200% agree with you. Sony was doing very impressibe back in 2000, Samsung was a rising ... moreActually with the Z line don't picked back up very well and they were doing very good with Symbian phones.
The Z2 and Z3 were very strong times for Sony that shot then right up to bring almost as good as Samsung. Though the Z3 could have been a little more. Now with the z4/3+ they are just slipping again.
impulse313, 12 Jun 2015Note 5 Suggestions:
1.) Front Facing SPEAKERS✿
-I have a Note 3 since april... moreSpeakers I agree. In 2009 before their Galaxy they had very good sounding speakers on the Omnia HD. In fact the Z3, M8/M9 only sound a little louder and better.... Which is sad.
I think at this point 6 years later they should be no less than 85 DB minimum and without an ounce of quality sacrifice. If anything sound better.
But they were top and bottom.
And four would be better.
I like the home button though
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2015Still staying with my Note2..IMHO,higher resolution means a lot of battery drain..and going be... moreHigher resolution alone does not immediately mean higher power consumption.
720p displays when they were new used more power and same with 1080p. Samsung QHD Amoled use less power than 720p LCDs that are 5 inches or less.
Plus with more efficient CPUs and ram they have better battery life. The Note 4 definitely has better battery life than the Note 2. And looks and performs a lot better.
But I do agree that the Note 2 none the less is still a very strong and capable device. And it's going to get an official lollipop update.
The only thing that bothers me really is the occasional keyboard lag that crept in last year that was never really am issue before hand.
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2015uuummm... the article said there wasn't going to be a 4K screen (rumor)....That's one rumor note saying it won't when there have been plenty for a while that there will. And we know they are releasing one someone between then so it could be on the Note 5.
Will appreciate water proof and dust proof. Camera quality needs to improve.
impulse313, 12 Jun 2015Note 5 Suggestions: 1.) Front Facing SPEAKERS✿ -I have a Note 3 since april... moreYou are talking nonsense. We need the physical home button. Go get those phones you mentioned then. Whats stopping you???
Trend, 12 Jun 2015Sony already lost the market. so there is no need to give over build up on this. It was like H... moreYep. I 200% agree with you. Sony was doing very impressibe back in 2000, Samsung was a rising star at the time. Now it's Samsung, LG and Apple. Time always changes.
Note 5 Suggestions:
1.) Front Facing SPEAKERS✿
-I have a Note 3 since april 2014. And immediate i knew i wanted to upgrade to the Note 4. But when i saw that it has a backward facing speaker, i got very annoyed. So i didn't buy one. I'm holding on to my Note 3 while i wait for the Note 5. For me, Front Facing SPEAKERS should be the standard for all phones and tablets. I can't emphasise enough how stupid backward-facing speakers are. Even the side-firing speaker on my Note 3 is bad. I keep blocking the speaker in landscape mode.
-One Front facing Speaker will be a big improvement. But Dual or Stereo Front Speakers will be great.
2.) Capacitive Touch Home Botton✿
-I hate the physical home button. I don't wanna keep pushing or pressing a button everytime i wanna go to the home screen. I just wanna touch or tap the home button. And i hate the on-screen buttons, by the way. Samsung should never do that on their phones.
-Put the Finger Print Sensor at the back like the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. It very works very well. Or put the Finger Print Sensor right at the Power On/Off button, like one chinese phone manufacturer are planning to implement.
-The S6's top and bottom bezels are very big because of the big home button just to compensate for the fingerprint sensor. Big bezels doesn't look good.
3.) 6.5 Inch Display✿
- I like the galaxy Mega 6.3 screen size. Big screen but still fits in my pocket comfortably. But the rest of the specs are disappointing. The Note 3 and 4's 5.7 inch screen size is still phone size. With 6.5 inch display, the Note 5 will be a real Phablet (Phone/Tablet).
- One-Handed use is already impossible since the Note 2's 5.5" display. So, sumsung should make the Note 5 as big as possible.
-QHD or 1440p screen resolution is enough.
-Sapphire protection for the display would be great.
4.) Removeable Back Cover✿
-Wireless charging can be built in to the back cover. Or it can be optional.
-Better for Flip Cover Case. It wouldn't add so much thickness to the phone.
-Micro SD Card Slot and inter-changeable battery.
5.) Faux Leather Back Cover✿
-I like the lether look and rubbery feel of it. It provides better grip and prevents the phone being very slippery. It Shouldn't be real leather because real leather will absorb sweat everyday. It will smell very bad in just after a month. (based on my past experince with wrist watch leather straps)
6.) ip68 Water & Dust Proof✿
-Samsung's Galaxy "Active" phone versions are ugly. Water and dust protection should be built-in on the samsung flagship phones.
-If the Note 5 is ip68 and still has a removable back cover, it will be great.
7.) USB Type C Port✿
-Faster Charging and faster wired data transfer.
8.) Dual SIM
mas39, 12 Jun 2015Sony doesn't need to copy, no one can get anywhere near the looks of Sony devices and certainl... moreSony already lost the market. so there is no need to give over build up on this. It was like HTC. Samsung is always a best in current trend. Sony was a market leader once upon a time not now.
Samsung mobiles are worth to buy, every year they put innovative ideas into there models,Note 5 definelty will be a hit !other companies have hardware which matches Samsung, but Samsung as an edge in terms of quality ,good display and durability. It might be expensive but worth buying !!!
