I don't know what ASUS can get from this acquisition except more employees. The Zenfone 2 pretty much gets it when it comes to Android phones.

In Brazil they don't sell HTC. But here it would cost like 3k.

                You must be joking right?
The M8 never met the expectations the sales department had set!
Don't you read the financial reports from HTC?

Wait a minute Taiwan is part of China right? Maybe lower down brand like Oppo, Meizu, Gionee should acquire HTC. But think Chinese brands are not stupid. Whoo want to buy a brand that going to vanish?

I still love the sound of HTC. Got an M8, loved its sound on call via net. Boomsound is very good that no other phones have matched! I will keep my M8 til it is no longer usable...

"As you might already know, HTC's latest One M9 flagship Android smartphone has failed to impress the customers "

Because, most people haven't got a clue what they're doing, they're sheep and more than likely used to be iPhone users.

Screen - once modified, it compares to the M8 which is superb.

Performance - this was never an issue.

Overheating - HTC addressed this, personally i've rooted and it runs cooler than both the s6 and the s6 edge hands down.

Battery - again i'm rooted so i've been able to mod the settings and cpu thresholds up and down, i get two days easily.

Design - not much of a revolution, more about an evolution of the m8, personally i think it's the best looking phone on the market.

Software - all the software from top to bottom is fluid and rapid, no slow downs ever, never randomly reboots and keeps pace no matter whats running.

Camera - ahhh the camera, at first i hated it, i was expecting an amazing sensor but i got bleed and over exposure, i thought this is it.

However, i then started using RAW which completely changed my mind, some of the pictures i've been able to take are simply amazing, the toshiba sensor is excellent, now that the new firmware is available, HTC have addressed the problem with the camera and it's by far a better quick shot device.

out of the box to the uninitiated, the device isn't as good no, however to the people out there who like a tinker and aren't wanting to be tied down to a life of control, then this is the phone for you.

HTC have always been pioneers, nothing has changed in that regard, they've just aimed their devices at the people who made it popular in the first place.

Asus One 10! good name! OR Asus Desire...

i didnt like HC, theyr devices is not running for flashgrips because theyr size...5" M9 are not a high end phone only because theyr smaller screen!

But cannot buy a 50K+ phone just to honour friendship.

I have HTC One M7 and it was and is a fantastic phone...
Limited capable camera but excellent in low light( one with no purple tint ...fixed)
                                      Great design.
                                      Overall good specs.

But if the company is going bust then I won't upgrade with a HTC phone.

Sorry but it was a good journey till it lasted with bootloader unlocking and flashing custom ROMS.
