Anonymous, 13 Jun 2015What happened to Samsung's "release less phones" pledge? It was samsung's tactic to make people believe that their s6 would be the best Samsung phone until note 5 came out and some people believed, not enough so Samsung went back to original spamming strategy

I recommend the name: S6 Edge Big. Simple and descriptive.

In other news, Samsung is preparing to launch a new device in Q4 this year, almost certainly will be called Samsung Galaxy S6 Grand Gear Core Ace Note Prime Edge Active Plus Duos. This wearable device is rumoured to come equipped with a 6" Super AMOLED screen, 540x960 qHD resolution, water-proof, dust-proof and bullet-proof. Given it carries the Note name, a stylus is possible, but we can't be 100% sure for now. It will feature a curved profile on all its 4 top, bottom, left and right edges and will be as bezel-less as it gets. Customer will be able to choose between a rubberized plastic wrist band or the more premium metal or glass material. It will be among the first devices to run Android M. Stay tuned for more info.

However hardware gains these days far outstrip useful software gains. There is just too much bloatware and spyware with Android. It is a memory hog and marketing tool for Google first and foremost. So Samsung has no commercial advantage with Android, as witnessed by other manufactures take up of Android market share. It is only hardware they have up their sleeve. In my opinion, Blackberry is the operating system, frankly, and far better than Android by a country mile.

Boring, expensive, no worthy new technology. Why bother to even release it when Samsung needs to focus on better and more relevant software. There is just too much hype about too little gain. Samsung needs to better discriminate in the market because Android cheap phones with good specs are half the price. For 95% daily activity, a Samsung S4 is just as good, even for games, if you are that bored you play games all day. Even by Samsung's own admission, they are starting to loose market share. When you are up, you can only come down.

Samsung, Samsung, Samsung... herein lies your problem (among a couple of others). You have the Note 5 coming out soon and you decide it's a great idea to produce and release another product, that is well, very very similar and ostensibly mimics Apple with their product line. Why can't you distance yourself from Apple and do your own thing? You have the resources and talent. Use it.

Samsung produces great products so I'm a fan of their stuff so missteps like this disappoints me. Not that I care about their bottom line but the more fierce the competition, the better the products we consumers end up with.

I now know why all apple phones get the latest os but samsung cant update all their phones. Cos there are simply just too many samsung phones especially the midrange segment as against few iphones.
