daddyD, 15 Jun 2015To be honest why would Samsung help Blackberry that are going to be direct competitors on the ... moreSimple, Android leaks like a sieve, and is no where as good as the Blackberry Hub OS.

For the blackberry to be able to get back on top, they should offer excellent camera to beat iphone. Improve their music quality to beat Sony and continue using super amoled display by samsung.

Considering the security flaws of Android, and its bloated superfluous software sometimes added by manufacturers, no doubt Android could benefit from Blackberry. However it would be far better if Samsung built a Blackberry device and used the Blackberry OS which is far better than Android in any case. Android is a dog of a system by comparison, and I have both.

I think you got it back the front.

'Samsung might be building a BlackBerry 10 device with google play services.'

Blackberry devices already have android (an android container) but they can't 'officially' run apps that depend on google play services. There are currently tricks to make such apps work but it certainly isn't consumer friendly.

AnonD-189020, 15 Jun 2015They should have partnered with AppleBy how things are going and with all things considered, while viewing them all from a non-technical perspective but of common sensical perspective, it is more likely that Apple would just shrug BlackBerry off. I suppose Apple wouldn't be in the mood, either. They aren't in the mood to share their precious iOS. They only have it for themselves for a centralized feeding of software updates/upgrades. Better that way - good for them. Rather, BlackBerry should have asked Microsoft. But as of now, mmmpretty sure Microsoft's busy concentrating their efforts with their upcoming Windows 10 update and, needless to say, their upcoming flagships to come packing with it. They might not also be in the mood to expand by having new partnerships. Perhaps, not just yet. As much as I would like to see a back-buttoned LG-style Windows phone, I would consider a BlackBerry Windows phone if they would be any good in hardware and software/UI quality. For now, there had been a report that states BlackBerry's slider phone revealed at MWC 2015 would be their first Android smartphone. I guess, if they wanted to make their first Android smartphone create impressive impressions, they'd turn to an experienced Android maker and a market leader in Android for help, which as of date is none other than Samsung. Plus both Samsung and BB already have a joint effort at stake with their security suites, KNOX and BES12. Which means, it would not take much effort for both to fortify their partnership/relationship even greater. They just need to continue fortifying on! But my money is still on that dose of salt
