AnonD-57516, 18 Jun 2015Big battery doesn't guarantee a longer battery life. If the OS and the hardware are hopelessly... morecan we please stop the "bigger battery is useless if phone is not optimized" crap here, we are NOT talking about crappy unoptimized chinese phones here. we're comparing phones from the top end companies, of course they'll be as optimized as possible, which the only comparison left would be the actual battery capacity.

So for marketing purposes they'll sacrifice the quality of their current 16 MP sensor in the G4.

sylk, 18 Jun 2015820 SoC, double de heat ;) Just kidding, i'm looking forward to it, hope it has a 4000mah bat... moreBig battery doesn't guarantee a longer battery life. If the OS and the hardware are hopelessly calibrated and designed, even a 5000mAh battery may be depleted like a 2000mAh batt in a better phone.

Some Chinese made phones simply have huge batteries and they're so heavy yet have an endurance of 75hrs which is a shame. The S6 Edge already managed 73hrs with a 2550mAh batt.

Otherwise v you are avoiding proof. It's one of the better yes. But it doesn't even quite make the top 5. Still among the better and its saving grace is the low light abilities. But I'd very smudgy and over processed in many scenarios.
A different camera app or an update can fix that. Most people don't use raw but it's an option.

The question is can it's lack luster performance with exposure and dynamic range be fixed by software

Do i think that note 4 was woth the price? maybe. Flex2? not really. But i definitely wouldn't buy the s6, the apple approach was a letdown. Samsung started to act like a bull, shoving things off consumers throats, that it wouldn't do before. And you know why? Because of the hundreds of people like you, who are making fun of the isheeps, but are slowly turning into them. If the next note will be a bigger S6, samsung will be dead to me.

Btw, if you cannot afford a flagship phone, you can always opt for a 2nd line/best phone, which Samsung and other brands offer plenty models for you to choose from. Not only fanboy, a speculator is also narrow minded people.

G4 is a threat too S6 and you ... moreG4 is a great phone and obviously possess as since form of threat just by being competition. But as a whole is far behind the S6 in technology. Of course the G4 is cheaper it's parts are much cheaper, not as new or advanced save for a couple, no as power efficient, and not mostly home made.
Duh? LG would be insane to try and charge the same prices.

The only main advantages LG has is slightly better low light photos in some cases that don't require a lot of exposure work and removable battery/SD slot compared to the S6.
                                      Again.. Speaking factually not subjectively

AnonD-400457, 18 Jun 2015G4 destroys the S5 but its alittle slower than S6, but cheaper. G4 is a threat too S6 and you ... moreSorry I use factual points off objective results. Not fan bias.
And this is talking about the regular S5. Not even the QHD version with S805 and 3GB of ram that has an even stronger edge.

The S5 has a better display. Real Black's, more saturated or accurate depending on your voice which also gives it more accurate whites, infinite contrast, much brighter and less reflective, and less power consuming.

Better battery life, still decently powerful, more secure functional, featured, and productive software which Samsung provides faster and more updates.
The better battery life comes in a much slimmer body on a smaller battery and with a water resistant design.

The G4 speaker is a bit louder but more muffled sounding....and it doesnt even have a water protecting membrane over it.
And even a year later the heaphone sound on the G4 is not as clean or loud as the S5.
And the S5 at least xame with headphones.

The S5 also does better in most daylight photography as well as better in video recording.

So no the G4 does not even come close to destroying the S5. Onlu beats in processing power and low light photography for the most part.
