Only their P series is anywhere near expensive. All their Honor phones are extremely good value. Huaweis only competition in China is Xiaomi, Vivo, Meizu, Oppo, ZTE and maybe Lenovo. All these are at least as expensive as Huawei. Lower tier brands don't pose any threat as the devices just aren't up to a high end standard.

I agree with all the comments that this is too expensive. Huawei charges way too much for all their phones. Unless they get more realistic they will be blown away by less expensive Chinese rivals - as will Samsung and Sony and other android OEM's unless they cut costs. Apple has a monopoly over iOS but no one has one over Android. Hence best value for money will win this race, sooner or later.
