Those of you who already have a moto g2, you don't need to buy this phone.
But who don't own a moto g yet, it would be a perfect budget phone for them if the battery capacity and the price is right.
Now I can happily buy moto g 2014
Oh please! The specs keep changing from leak to leak! IF this is true, den m not gonna change my 2Nd gen....
First of all, these leaks are not fake.
Secondly, what do you think the price would be if Moto put SD615 cpu with 2GB Ram inside this device? Moto G3 supposed to be a budget phone and its competitors are Samsung A5, E5, J5, Sony E4 etc. Look at there specs.
You guys want an upper midrange phone with a 200$ price tag. Remember Moto is not a Chinese company.
The specs are perfect only if they used 2GB ram with at least 2500 mah battery.
In that case you would have a perfect midrange phone with a perfect budget.
And for those who want 615 with 2GB Ram, look at Galaxy A7 and Xperia M4 and compare their price with Moto G3.
Peace.
Doug, 21 Jun 2015Should be 2 GB RAM! Boo!True! Looks fine except the RAM!
Lenovo has A7000, alcatel has onetouch flash plus, asus has zenfone 2. If this rumor is true, this year's moto g won't make a surprise.
5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel
display
Qualcomm Snapdragon 410
processor
1GB of RAM
8GB of storage + microSD
card slot
2,300 mAh battery
13MP rear camera
5MP front camera
still 720p display and only a 0,2 GHz increase on the specs? If that's the price for the extra MP on the camera, no thanks. Moto X 2014 would still be a way much better option, considering its price may drop a bit when Moto X 2015 comes out
Motorola got too "lenovoed" with this design.
While I agree that it should come with 2 Gb of Ram, don't forget that it runs vanilla android so the performance should be quite snappy. I have a moto g 2 and apart from apps sometimes restarting, I have no problem. It is a good phone for the price.
There is not any point to release new phone with old specs, we are happy with current version.
pls to add 4000 mah and above capacity battery.
I think Motorola should increase the battery size to at least 3000mA,as being user of Moto G 2014,Moto G 2nd Gen & now Moto E 2nd LTE they performance is good.
Unless this comes with 4G data, the 1st Gen Moto G 4G LTE is still the best in the series. The 2nd Gen was a disappointment by increasing the screen size but not the resolution, 3G not 4G, and same size battery, resulting in worse battery life due to larger screen.
I agree. The other leaked specs show a full HD screen with 16 Gig internal storage. No point in releasing a new phone with old specs.. Would be nice if Google confirmed that this phone was real not just vaporware..
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2015I really hope this is false information , otherwise disappointing handset for 2015.Seriously. Where are the improvements over the previous model?
1st gen Moto G is still best. All it needed was 5" with same display quality, 2GB DRAM, 16GB internal storage and SD card slot. 2nd gen was a downgrade in display quality and design.
Should be 2 GB RAM! Boo!
I really hope this is false information , otherwise disappointing handset for 2015.
AnonD-80174, 21 Jun 2015If moto x 2015 is going to have a sd810 and moto e is has a sd410 then moto g has to have a sd615Moto X 3rd gen was said to have Snapdragon 808, at least according to the site specs here.
