It's a nice well engineered phone that has options. I don't have any issues with this G4 phone. I hope they don't change because in a year a lot of whiners will be moving over to the LG product line when they run out of space and/or they have to pay high dollar amount to replace their battery. The LG G4 does everything else the other phones do but with options the other don't have.

the phone is boring. all hype and little substance that at least impresses. it's a letdown so sales are bad. not surprising.
From where I can see, it has been a DOWNGRADE cycle all the way since LG G2. That was LG's last true market competitor. After that, they are continuously on a disappointing note.
AnonD-376211, 24 Jun 2015I agree with you somewhat. I feel as if LG is trying to compete with the Galaxy S6 & Note ... moreTrue, it's halfway competing with note4 and halfway with s6. LG should have kept the 5.2" same with LG G2 and attaining an excellent battery life. Just keep the microSD slot. I tried the G4 in shop and struggle with one hand usage. And in that case I would rather choose note4. But since i prefer one handed usage i'd bought a 2nd hand Xperia Z3 which is 2 months old only since the owner had it. I love the battery, it's comparable to the G2 with Kit Kat OS.
Silly LG must put it on the shelves of more South American countries like mine (Peru) to boost their sales. I wanted to get the g3, but just some days ago I decided I'll wait for the g4, that should already be here. Samsung's phones get here much sooner than others.
Tough luck for lg or any traditional android phone makers. Chinese smartphone players are taking over the android world
AnonD-265082, 24 Jun 2015LG can't compete with Samsung and Apple. Only Sony and HTCThere's nothing to compete with HTC and Sony at all. Compete for what? What are you talking about?
AnonD-376211, 24 Jun 2015The problem with the G4 is that the design is too familiar. It almost looks exactly like the G... moreWhat are you talking about? Although GS6 deviated from S5's plastic back to a glass one, it looks basically the same as the latter.
Had the G4 less superfluous and meretricious, it could probably have attained the same heights as its ilk.
I own a G2. Didn't feel so convenient with G3 last year so I didn't get 1. Deja vu witj G4, not so convenient compared to G2. What is missing, LG ? I actually waited for G4 but haven't get 1 until today. Can't beat the feeling when I'm holding a G2.

I feel as if LG is trying to compete with the Galaxy S6 & Note line at the same time lol Although i don't mind the screen size, the LG G3 is much more manageable with it's tighter bezels. It's also a bit shorter than the G4.
The problem with the G4 is that the design is too familiar. It almost looks exactly like the G3.. Sure it has a quantum display, better camera optics, and better perfomance.. but other than that what other notable feature or upgrade does it have over the G3? G3 users are confused about upgrading and i don't blame them, their phone is still solid for another year.
Samsung did it right by updating their design! It's a new look and Galaxy S5 users feel as if their device is already old because it doesn't look as sharp as the new device. LG has some redesigning to do.
In my opinion that's what holding LG back from getting major earnings.
It's sad to see LG not learning from the G3 mistakes. All it needed to do was to bring back the 5.2" screen size of the G2 and place a bigger (like 3800+ mAh) battery inside to ensure G4's success. The lower-end chipset is NOT the reason then G4 failed. It's the sheer size of it. Who wants a phone that does not fit in the pants pocket ? Phablet users are very few compared to regular phone users.
AnonD-374448, 24 Jun 2015Premium Price product without TopOfTheLine SOC will always be doomed. what they should've d... moreAgree...that will certainly boost sales. Just do it NOW.
LG G4 is nice but a little bit on the gimmicky side whereas the Galaxy S6 is better overall.
That's what you get when you use a substandard processor.
Expected,G4 is a failure,nothing interesting,nothing attractive.
It now depends on G4 Pro coming later, the sale definitely will up like hill.
AnonD-405111, 24 Jun 2015People who say the G4 is failing because there is no 810 in there are really stupid, choosing ... morefurther and bad pricing does not making them a favor...
why did they go up with price, just because Sammy did?
so they thought thay can also?
they are not Apple, and not even Samsung, so thay can sell anything for any price.
if it's for price of Snapdragon, they should go for other options, and make lower price. G2 was perfect guide...if they did g3 in same way (lower price and nicer looks, with better size then competitors) LG would have chanse to rise as brand. but since they losttheir way, thy need to fight with Sony, HTC, Xiaomi...ot Sammy and Apple.
i am not potential LG G4 buyer even it was just 100$ for it's size, but many does look at it (especially asians, who does like phablets), and when they see bad design (not bad, but empty...and big...all worst then before, exept back cover), and it's price...they will go for Sammy.
or cheaper Chinese brands with similar spec, for half of it's money.
