Hmm.. Secure phone with Android.. Unlikely to happen anytime soon..
Even if they manage such a thing it won't sell.. Cos Android users want full control of their devices which BB can't give them cos they want them to be secure..
Simply being able to install a new keyboard on your phone is a security risk (you'll be amazed how many permissions swiftkey and google keyboard have access to..)

Audi vs KIA? device for masses insted of high end ? u obviously dont know what ure talking about how in hell does passport is a higher end than of Note4? Bulid Quality alone? still it was better than HTC M8?! nvrmind, as i said , i still own a q10, not the passport though, it just never justify the price.so i know what im talking about. but, yeah, keep slapping that super highEnd price of the devices & well see how long before Blackberry go down. wait, as BB is considering making android phones, would u consider that device for masses or ppl with special need?

AnonD-374448, 24 Jun 2015exactly bro.. that what makes it an OpenSource platform. well, i like Blackberry, would be a... morePassport's price was higher than Note 4 because Note 4 is a device for the masses and not a high-end device like the Passport. Also, build quality of Passport is far superior to that of Note 4 and any other Samsung device. You can't complain that an Audi is more expensive than a Kia or w/e low-end car brand. It's quality vs. cheapness.

Secure Android device? Good luck with that! Haha! People who seek quality, won't touch an Android device, no matter what company it comes from.

Whilst I can understand BlackBerry might consider using Android to broaden its appeal to app fanatics it would be foolish to abandon BlackBerry's excellent OS 10 system, which includes an excellent Hub unified messaging system.

Primark, 24 Jun 2015Freedom and security normally doesn't come together, but if they can why not...exactly bro.. that what makes it an OpenSource platform. well, i like Blackberry, would be a shame if they go down Nokia path. might update my q10 if this BB android thing really takeOff. ONLY IF they price it Right, passport when launched was priced higher than Note4's. stupid thing to do.. Classic which was basically q10 with bigger body & just toolbelt so show for priced just $200 below M8

FINALLY! If you can beat them, join them.Microsoft couldn't compete with Android then they started building Android-based phones. Now Blackberry too are on line to build Android. They started my making phones that run Android apps, eg Z10, Z30, Z3. Now they want to build whole new phone based on Android.

                            - Long live Android.
