It does not say that they aren't going to update either phones. They just don't have details from the higher levels yet. Even Sprint in the US has no details on when the updates will be, but there is still a chance for the phones to receive 5.1.1.

There's nothing wrong with the G4 USA Verizon variant so leaving it alone is a great idea. I easily go 20 hours on a charge, 34 on lite use days. My G4 is smooth and fast with zero lag anywhere. It doesn't need fixed at this point so I'm happy to sit and wait for "M" to come out and screw up my phone.

The way they said that is probably making LG G4 users nervous lol They should of just said they're working on Android M. Now it just seems that it'll never get any sort of update hahha

The g4 is still doing good in terms of sale compared to the g3 and g2..so it still a win for LG..there are still many useres who will still update to the g4 in the near future..im one of them..

Why would they go through the trouble of updating to 5.1.1 when they can just do the same patches in an OTA while staying on 5.1? It's just a number. I bet G4 already has all fixes it needs from 5.1.1.

Like most of the customers care what version of Android their phone runs. Most if not all buyers care for the features and camera, also looks.

And if they jump to 5.2 directly, then better for them, dev money well spent.

Who wants 5.1.x when M is already announced ? Everyone is now looking for Doze mode (deep sleep) for reducing power consumption, especially on S6 & G4.
