Another midrange HTC that will never see latest Android update. No thanks. Nexus 5 is still far better than this.

And sooo many small variations in model names from HTC, which is unlike them. Yeah, it tends to be confusing!

HTC Desire 826 Dual s... moreThe one which you purchased was HTC Desire 826w, which comes with a 13 MP front camera and no CDMA option. The one quoted here by GSMArena is the HTC Desire 826x, which supposedly has a 4 UltraPixel front camera, and CDMA support too.
Assuming my information is right, they are neither wrong nor slow.
I had rather buy the galaxy a7 coz of it hot looks nd all the same specs as the 826 one...its jst 1-2k extra
AnonD-196881, 25 Jun 2015are you sure that galaxy s5 or nexus 5 are better than desire 826????!!!! please don't make a ... moreIts not the performance that is lagging. Although One plus, Mi, Huawei, Lenovo all offer higher speced devices for cheaper. Even Moto X (2015) is cheaper at Rs.22000.
Performance is decent, can do decent multitasking and Sense UI is light and smooth and fast. But the phone heats up like a hot pan when is under stress. If we are gaming for 10-15 mins or video streaming for 20-30 mins, its too hot to handle.
And the size is also too big. Its bigger than Note 2 I had earlier. I was a fan of HTC and bought it, but returned it back. There are many better options for that price especially in India
This cannot be right. GSMArena has been slow and inaccurate on this one. HTC Desire 826 Dual sim has been available for almost 2 months now.
Source: Me. I bought this model around a month back for 23500 ($369)
Release price quoted in the article is also wrong. It was released at 28490 ($449) but is selling at 23000 ($360) now
m using this 826 from 1 month.. juzz loved it...;) PROS : awesome looks ;) 1080P (403ppi) beautiful display , 2gb ram n 2600mah battery , snapdragon 615 , both 13mp camz are awesome !!! CONS : heating issue , battery should be atleast 3000 for 1080P large screen :/ overall phone is too good ! great work by HTC ;) :)
AnonD-196881, 25 Jun 2015are you sure that galaxy s5 or nexus 5 are better than desire 826????!!!! please don't make a ... moreBS! better ui than stock ui? & htc midrangers dont lag?... come out of your dream. what about the updates like most companies abandon for their silly & hefty price tags dubbed "flagships". nexus devices will always get updates as soon as google allows. 27K for sd 615.? lol wait for moto g3 with sd 615 below 15k.
Well, if you ask me, S5 has far better main camera. Contrarily, D826 has same awful camera 816 had. Other than that SD801 is of higher league. Many people don't really like the huge size such as of D826. Moreover, I know some who prefer Touchwhiz over sense. So, D826 isn't as exciting as you fancy.
AnonD-196881, 25 Jun 2015are you sure that galaxy s5 or nexus 5 are better than desire 826????!!!! please don't make a ... moreMan this is India :D . . Where People Will buy a Cheaper Alternative ! Bad Pricing From HTC ! lenovo K3 note is better in the dept. :)
AnonD-402894, 25 Jun 2015Galaxy s5 , note 3 & nexus 5 retailing at 25 k all are better than thisAll of the phones are wrongly recommended by you ,except the S5 which is a great phone
AnonD-196881, 25 Jun 2015are you sure that galaxy s5 or nexus 5 are better than desire 826????!!!! please don't make a ... moreGood points brought up by you, but I would wait for sometime and see if the sales of this device really speaks the same language as yours.
AnonD-402894, 25 Jun 2015Galaxy s5 , note 3 & nexus 5 retailing at 25 k all are better than thisare you sure that galaxy s5 or nexus 5 are better than desire 826????!!!! please don't make a joke. maybe s5 is better in main camera or sun light screen reading but htc has the best UI and never see lag or delay in htc midrangs, upper midranges and flagships. desire 826 has the best front camera and just M9,M9+ and E9+ have better selfie(if they have 4mp ultra pixel).in other hand htc equipped D826 with polymer battery that has longer and better stamina in the long time.after many monthes Li battery drop quality(under 5%)and after 1year Li battery dropped quality about 5-10% but polymer battery is very better and destroy hardly.also D826 has better design and sound and body.in addition to tell you the truth D826 is a 64bit phone and it has 2kind of cpu clock.lower is 1Ghz for routin usage and that conserve the battery and for gaming cpu switched to 1.7Ghz.this tech save battery life and stamina.plese think before writing and don't push other guys to mistake.
I don't know why most of people and near to 100% of sites are htc enemies?????!!!!! for sure desire 826 is better than s5,s4,nexus4,5 or some thing like them
Are you sure that this comes with ultrapixel front cam and not 13mp camera?
Lol and lenovo just launch k3 note for 10k which has almost same specs... Good going htc
