Taiwan still part of China. When old China ruling government Kuomingtang retreated to Taiwan province when they have lost China Civil War in 1949, they have never announce their independence. Even if Taiwan wanted, no other countries will support or agree to it. No United Nation, Soviet Union, Russia, US, Japan, German and so on will support Taiwan for Independence. The End!

Hey guys, this SoC SD820, is customization of ARMv8 architecture. As you know that Qualcomm will do the design and give it to another company to manufacture the chips (Taiwan semiconductors manufacturing company). So for Qualcomm, it is possible to make its ARMv8 customization for SD820 SoC, either like Samsung technology ( 14nm) or like TSMC technology( 16nm). The latter 2 companies, unlike Qualcomm, manufacture their own designs in addition to designs made by other companies ( Qualcomm is fabless ).
