Watercooling is way better, and is already been tested and it works. I don't know if it was sharp or toshiba who did the experiment a while ago.
shdax, 26 Jun 2015because when the fan goes on in your pocket you will feel weird !well - for such cases perhaps they could develop a cooling case for the cell phone with minimal intrusive cooling fins.
Its all useless, ye u can run all the latest high graphics games but your phone will be hot af! lol
the unreasonable side of me hopes this thing performs extraordinarily well with excellent thermal performance and battery efficiency. And then they don't sell it to Samsung.
SD 810 helped you to make an omellete of an egg. Now SD 820 will help you make your daily food. LOL.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2015If nothing else they can always install a fan. Why cant a cell phone have a fan?It would use way too much power for even a small fan. The fan would nullify the power efficiency of the chip.

Poor Qualcomm. From being mobile SOC dominator to laughing stock. I guess the overheating jokes will last until the Snapdragon 900 at least. They did it to themselves though.

They must test it to avoid fire in the future phones With smaller package process and custom architecture , it wouldn't produce much heat.
Snap 805 already has 2.7 GHz. it's on 28 nm process.
Just need to make sure that Kyro core doesn't turn into a Pyro...
Maybe this it will Burn people's hands at 100 degree Celsius !!
