The GPU is based on the series 6 (Rogue) and integrates two clusters with two TMUs each and a scalar Unified Shader architecture. Depending on the available memory bandwidth and clock rate, the performance is similar to the Qualcomm Adreno 320 and ARM Mali-T624 MP4. High-resolution displays (up to 2560 x 1600 pixels) and demanding mobile games of 2014 will be handled without problems. Among others, the GPU supports OpenGL 3.x/4.x, OpenGL ES 3.0 as well as DirectX 10.

Clock rates and performance of the G6200 may vary between different SoCs. For example, the Mediatek MT6795 has a somewhat higher GPU frequency than the MT8135 (700 vs. 600 MHz).

16GB onboard? Why, Sony? Why? I hope this isn't the Z3c successor. Really, phones should be coming with 32GB as standard.

Oh no, I hope Sony doesn't end up using mediatek chips for all their future mobiles, otherwise I may have to look elsewhere, i'm lucky at the moment as I have the Sony Z Ultra which rocks with the s800 chip but there is no way I will buy another Sony device if they go with rubbish mediatek chips, please Sony stick with Qualcomm!

Guessing one of their no-brainer effort to circus the balance of this phone's tag price since it'd be one of their own selfie-centric phone to date. Accommodate a cheaper but comparable performing CPU to accommodate a pricier with higher mp-count front camera. If this becomes the successor to the Z3 Compact, it won't only be the first of their Compact series to sport a Mediatek chipset but also be the first to sport one in the history of their Z line models ever made

Let see if the review had published.Actually the PowerVR G6200 GPU on MT6795 is A LOT weaker than the Adreno 330 on Z3 compact, while the CPU on the Mediatek chipset maybe stronger than Qualcomm's

It could come without glass on back side.
