Wicked!, 25 Nov 2009installed it on my N86... Nice! :) BUT slow :(video chat does not work on N86 version

Fring on the iPhone has just been updated to receive videocalls from Skype or Fring.
It's not just for Nokia any more.

seems like Fring at the moment allow Video Calls only on 3G and Wifi networks, and I use N97 with Proxy network but fring have issues connecting the proxy enabled wifi.... wondering where i can use the 3G network !!!!

where exactly did u download the new version of fring? all the links open the same page - download via WAP, SMS, PC.. i chose the download to PC.. and it during installation on the phone it asked me if i want to replace the already existing one (i already have fring installed from quite a few months) and i saw that both of them were the same version (19)! i installed it anyway.. but i cant seem to find the video call function.. help please!!

i try download it last night (N97), and it works. i add my buddy list (my friend N5800 user) and try sending image, audio and video and its works. the awesome thing happen when i make video call to him n awesomely works, they just cut the internet charge and free by wireless. very niceee...... its aplicable to certain phone. some do have the videocall services, some just chat only.

This new feature is really amazing and snappy. I have it on my 5800 and what i would like to say is that it works flawless. The only thing that really pokes me is the fact that the video quality is mediocre, but that has to be expected since the application utilizes the secondary or the front facing camera of the phone which again is not the best in its kind. Cheers to fring and hope to see more innovative ideas in the future.

viksy, 25 Nov 2009I downloaded fring on my e71 and its stuck on Testing connection??? neither the wifi wrks nor ... moreto be honest, i have it too, the only problem is that i dont have vid call, but further it works fine. i think that ur problem may just be that ur wifi or gprs conn isnt set up well. try soft or hard reset.
