Stick to 1 core with 512mb of ram then. More cores are always better as long as it is well design without consuming too much power with developers supporting it. Your way of arguing is just like how Steve Jobs said 3.7" screen phone is the perfect size.

Well, this has turned into... moreYou have no idea what your talking about. more cores will save a lot on battery life and multitasking and it depends how you they manage them. Apple has the worst outdated cores setup. The battery life on the Iphone 6 with a small 720p screen is very weak only 5 hours on web compared to phones that have triple the screen res and can get over 9 hours on web. I dont get it.. you guys used to say 'we want better performance' and then they put 8 core CPU in phones then you guys say 'we want 570 ppi screen because 440 ppi screens are outdated' and you get 570 ppi screens, then you say 'we want more battery life this one sucks'. And then qualcomm builds 4 core CPU that has 2x lower power envelope and you guys say 'omg this CPU sucks, its weaker than 8/10 core from last year...' and so on and so forth.

If this is real, and it may not be, then no wonder they're pushing the clocks to 3Ghz. The CPU core might not be as powerful otherwise. But this means it may overheat again OR Qualcomm will throttle it heavily (again).

they are more power efficient compared to the dual core a8 or tegra processors. which will result in longer battery life compared to those dual core phones,tablets.

android authority has already made an article on this. yes, apps use more than one core in android.
