It's tr... moreWhen budget devices get a new iteration the only difference you see are specs but when a flagship is updated not only specs are updated, new features are also made available. Like iPhone 5S got a fingerprint sensor and Galaxy S6 got a wireless charging. You won't see these types of features in a budget device. One more thing to note is that the Flagships are supported for a longer period of time unlike budget phone which are dropped soon after the launch year.
If you think flagships buyers are stupid and just like to flaunt then you are living in a world of your own.

Good to see Europeans are switching to wp (up to nearly 10%).. And this is before 10 is released. Things starting to look up for MS.. Hopefully more devs will start to get on board now.

People buy flagship phone because of its popularity and not because of its usefulness. It's true there are a lot of new features if you compare a flagship device from a cheaper device. But the main question is, are we really using those features. How many among us who bought a Note series phone and use the pen frequently? Most of us only notice the s-pen when we first bought and that's it, it will just be in it's closet. How many of us play extensive 3D games that we need a fast processor? The only common thing the most of us do in a phone is chatting, calling, watching movies, texting and emails. And this things we can do in a low budget mobiles like Huawei or Lenovo.
Company like Samsung or Apple tend to upgrade their product which a little additional features and that's it a brand new phone has come and people will be selling their phones and buy this in a higher price and at the end of the day. The common things we do in our old mobile is the same thing that we do in our new mobile. And this tech Giants are enjoying the profit. From Iphone 6 to Iphone 6S?
Well I guess people are rioh to spend. Juts for other to say that we are using a new gadget.

Which iPhone is the best selling phone? Is it the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 +, the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C, the iPhone 5, or the iPhone 4S? I believe all of these are still for sale in the US.

I bought it (over S5, iPhone, HTC One) simply because it was the best of the bunch (largest battery, best selfie cam, second best screen, great camera,Snapdragon 801, frequent updates), nothing to do with price.
People buy pricy phones because those are presented to them as the best. But they rarely are, apart from the note series, any other has glaring faults so why not go with companies that actually try to fix them.

Not for the period that the S6 has been available.
So since release the iPhone 6 has been the best selling phone in the US.
The S5, since its release has been the 2nd best selling phone.
And the S6, since its release ranks 3rd in number of phones sold.
So no, it doesn't mean that
