That sounds good but my LG G2 is still stuck at 4.4 and there's no firmware update available, according to the phone itself.

What??? LG G2 is getting 5.1.1 Lollipop update? Thats shocking!!! There is no news of 5.1.1 update on LG G3 and LG are giving update to LG G2. I don't know what they are upto? I hope they consider LG G3 also for 5.1.1 update soon.

I just manually updated my phone to lollipop using cloudy's 3.2 rom for the g2. It puts you on android 5.0.2 and gives you the g4 look and most of the features minus the manual camera controls.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2015What about the D803 model?I just rooted and updated my g2 to cloudy's 3.2 rom with 5.0.2. Works really well if you don't mind doing the work to manually update your phone yourself.

My G2 is updated to lolipop... Working well si far. This phone is amazing.

I really couldn't disagree more. Performance wise, they are similar, a bit better on lollipop.
Lollipop notifications are terrible though.
As for the UI,lg g2'S UI is so much better that alone would be sufficient to make me upgrade lollipop, even if lollipop was slower (which is not) the UI is so much better that it makes up for that.

I updated mine on lollipop, after update I made factory reset and everything is smooth and perfect, battery lasts more than before when I was on kitkat... just make factory reset and you will see

i dont trust in that guy who say LG G2 will receive the 5.1.1...ok, will they get it in some couple of months but if they say that G3 will receive it first in 1 month or near!
is a shame G2 will receive first than G3, and is a market movement from LG because try to push people buy the G4 instead of G3!
