I do care about my battery, because of security reasons - they can track you down anywhere.
I do care that the phone is water proof, it's one of the coolest features and took my S5 with me into the Mediterranean Sea and had cool pics.
I also do care about SD cards, while shooting pix @16 mpx and videos @4k, those 32 gb internal storage go really fast, and the 64 gb variant is more expensive than a simple 32 gb card.
s6 is a great phone. it's all about people who buy it. minority of people care about removable battery and sd card, but majority just don't care, at all. waterproof is ok but its not so important. so this is it: will we sell more phones if we make it cute and stylish and up to standards while we sacrifice those features.....yes!!!! so, let us make that kind of phone.
Cloudy Jay Mordecai, 06 Jul 2015Actually, this report IS true.
Many markets have reported that the Samsung Galaxy s5 is get... moreagain your're right
I just wish to add especially #5
Also when samsung released it's s6, people realized the importance of removable battery and SD card
S4 users are coming off contract after 2 yaers so upgrading to the S6
problem is S4 64Gb card supported S6 starts @32Gb
I like the S5 for being a Samsung and the LG G3
Samsung nearly had it with the Galaxy Alpha alas NO SD card.
The S7 should be built like the Alpha but with a SD card.
Removable batteries not only for spare but for battery pull
Well i may say that some like and dislike s5 but in functionality that s5 has it undoubtedly what people want waterproof, sd card for more expandable media consumption, battery replaceable we all know in time battery degrade everytime we charge our phone. Then you can hand it down to others by just changing the battery. Then now its lower price and its a good size for me not that big and heavy. Plus when fixing is easy.
I'm using it. It has all the features a great phone should have. Really a great phone indeed...!!!
Cloudy Jay Mordecai, 06 Jul 2015Agree with you on all fronts, except for screen size. It doesn't matter if it's 5.7 inch or 6 ... moreI like the sound of all that also.... but your final comment about using it for a decade is precicely why it'll never happen. Samsung won't sell many phones if they release such a perfect device :S Nope - sadly it'll be a larger scale version of the S6 - all pretty looking but completely impractical hardware wise. Sadly Samsung have given up on practical innovations and gone the way of the fruit variety :'(
Agree s5 the best phone ever even the design is nice for me, I upgraded from the s2 (skipped the s3, s4 bcuz they were too ugly) to the s5 last year and will skip the s6 hoping that the s7 will be better.
S5 looks ugly infront S6. But waterproof, memory card slot, 2800mah battery on a fhd device is great though i dont feel memory card and wateproof is necessary for me. You can buy this s5 for around $380. Whatever you say S6 is the best looking phone i have ever seen.
Indeed s5 is the best Samsung made phone! Absolutely beast with water resistance. I wish Samsung would go back to making battery replaceable phones
AnonD-251634, 06 Jul 2015I bought the Note 4 N910C and skipped the S6. I agree that Samsung needs to put FM radio back... moreAgree with you on all fronts, except for screen size. It doesn't matter if it's 5.7 inch or 6 inch, as long as it's not as large and unwieldy as the Z ultra.
Include all other features, then I will use the Note 5 for a decade.
The S5 is ugly, very ugly but apart from that a very good phone with still good specs.
I bought the Note 4 N910C and skipped the S6. I agree that Samsung needs to put FM radio back in their phones. I-Heart, Tunein, and other streaming services are no substitutes - they all waste data and battery power.
I sure hope Samsung will not destroy the Note 5. Hopefully, it will come out with the following:
exchangeable battery,
removeable SD card,
Waterproofing,
FM Radio,
A flat screen that can be covered edge to edge by a tempered glass protector,
5.95 or 6" screen, and
two new C connectors - one to charge and one to hook to a large monitor.
These features would make it the perfect phone.
Meh the note 4 should be the top phone. Beats all others in performance, utility, features, battery life, etc. The only thing it lacks is the ip rating but that isn't exactly necessary. I understand though that the phablet niche isn't the standard but whatever.
AnonD-389756, 06 Jul 201521. Sony xperia Z3 :DShame....ding ding, shame....ding ding... ;)
ICE, 06 Jul 2015Where is Sony on the list? (And why?)21. Sony xperia Z3 :D
xperia z3 is the best phone in all terms...
waterproof
stunning and elegent design
slim n sleek
excellent camera
superior build quality
expandable memory
fast and smoth.
all thing that a perfect hand set requied except fingure print sensor thats not a big issue....
s5 gud display fast spped gud cam but less than z3 but most the ugly design old boring plastic cheap quality phone
as a SG s5 owner, i can say, of all the smartphones i had, s5 delivered the best user experience. i had iphones, xperias, galaxy notes, and windows phones. but among all, s5 still stands strongly. the SG s6/edge might have the best looking chasis as of now, but it sacrificed two of the most essential fundamentals of a galaxy smartphone. micro sd card and removable battery. PLUS waterproofing. PLUS s5 nowadays has its own price cut so, literally, people will tend to buy it.
i will be keeping this phone till note 5 will be unveiled.
AnonD-392500, 06 Jul 2015Yes. I agree to disagree. In my opinion,S5 is worst phone in the list.I agree S5 is the worst one by mile
Cloudy Jay Mordecai, 06 Jul 2015Actually, this report IS true. Many markets have reported that the Samsung Galaxy s5 is get... moreI agree that the phone tech-wise is pretty good, and always has been. But I still think it is ugly as sin :p
AnonD-392500, 06 Jul 2015Yes. I agree to disagree. In my opinion,S5 is worst phone in the list.Good, you rebel. We, humanity, agree to disagree with you x
