You're powering a greater amount of pixels, it's just that instead of getting lighted differently to get a sharper image. Each pixel on a 2K display is using less power than one on an FHD one, but that's because they're smaller, and in the end, 2K will take more power.

Wonder how far away the actual release is. I don't expect any s820 device to be out before October, and some might consider even that a stretch.
akula, 09 Jul 2015looks identical to mi note proBecause it's Mi Note Pro.

This looks much more like a MiNote / MiNote PRO. I guess someone joked you
Don't be too tempted tho. If you own a xiaomi device, you'll understand what I mean. Expect the software to be not up to scratch, with limited support as MIUI community forums is full of propganda and the community there reputation systems etc is horrible that the community there has become immature and there's full of useless posts that flood other posts that add actual value to the discussion.Don't expect great after purchase support. This is all coming from a Mipad user - they haven't even released kernel sources after one year!

They seem not to be interested in the european market by now and thus have barely any reason to support these bands.
Hope the OP2 supports them, otherwise ill have to look elsewhere.
Dont care about camera resolution, its the camera lens and autofocus that makes a good picture. I do care however about memory, a ddr4 will be awesome, and if they manage to put some ssd 64gb internal memory would be epic from Xiaomi. Im sure that everyone on Brazil is sure to drop iPhone and Sammy phones for a xiaomi mi5, they just started here and are already offering phones for 1/2 to 1/3 of the competitors prices. Now I realty wish that they keep 1080p resolution on the normal mi5 screen, 2k resolution is just nonsense on a 5" screen, it only decrease battery time.
This definitely would be one of the best devices of the year, if the snapdragon 820 delivers on performance.
European LTE does not seem to be supported "4G LTE :Band 38, Band 39, Band 40, Band 41 (2500-2690 MHZ)" :-(((((
camera should have been better
13MP is acceptable only if they add LG G4 type OIS and phase detection/laser autofocus & lower aperture for good low light photos to it
Malem50, 09 Jul 2015Mi4 is not even warming up the market to satisfy its customers and here comes Mi5. Perhaps Mi4... moreYes, Dr Troll, you may have a point there.

Mi4 is not even warming up the market to satisfy its customers and here comes Mi5. Perhaps Mi4 did not click in the market so they are upgrading it with Mi5.
