Either way Slab Phones are very boring now and are starting to look like clones of each other and losing individuality.
I say thumbs up to Blackberry for trying to pull their boot straps up and attract new customers.
they should adopt android but not use it as a way to move and "upgrade" users to blackberry os. that's why nokia x failed
it's killing..............
Chen is killing the company on his outdated idealism that phones which have physical querty keyboards and sliders is what the market wants. Sure, there is a niche out there, but it's not mainstream and not enough to grow the company. Hope the Blackberry Board of Director's kick Chen out before Blackberry is no more.
BBM is good device, Please make new phone with 5.5 inch screen & good selfe camera,s & device lock same as apple thumb
We tend to be thinking profit and forget to be unique. The solution isn't Android. There're so many beautifully designed and cheap Android devices out there. BlackBerry make the difference!
I think BlackBerry should maintain their os but make it easier to use android apps. we all don't need to be on android. something different like blackberry, ios, ubuntu, firefox. BlackBerry can create a niche for themselves. Is about taking a step back and looking at the trend and needs. then they can create something out of that and MARKETING!
But if the continue this approach of we're the best or use to be the best therefore the market must respond it is going to work.

Using Android is like "Here, have all my data, all my contacts and all my accounts, my location and my advertising ID! Do what you please, Google!"
curved screen?

I dont get it. The Blackberry OS is better than Android in my view. I have both, a Z30 and a S5. All Blackberry needs is slightly better hardware, thats all. Android to me is not as easy as Blackberry and certainly I have big questions about how secure it is and the big brother Google looking at everything you do. Too risky for me. For business and most personal matters there is absolutely nothing wrong with BB.
Hope for the best !!!! Thrilled for the qwerty models for android
this device is very goog for me

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2015BlackBerry 10 users are delusional if they think their OS is any more secure than the other OS... moreWow.. just wow...
Even Google, samsung and apple.. the competitors of BlackBerry have attested to the security of the devices. No one has ever questioned the security of a BlackBerry.. ever. Whether it's fully secure or not.. of course not, no phone is. But it's a heck of a lot more secure than any other device out there. When you install an android, iphone or windows app, are you able to customize the permissions of the app before you even install it? Don't think so chum. Sure I use facebook and other apps on my device but I cut out their access to device info, contacts, shared files etc. Let me know when you can do that on another device.
You can rip on BlackBerry for user base, app selection and many of their blunders in the past but I don't think you can rip on BlackBerry for security.
Primark, 10 Jul 2015The ratio of android users over blackberry users is staggering so, that answers your question. No it doesn't. You compared the HTC one and an iphone to the BlackBerry Venice. There are zero similarities between the devices.
Yes BlackBerry has a low user base now, I think the constant press on that over the past two years have made us all very aware of it.
Finally, they lack their own identity . . .
Amonynous, 10 Jul 2015I wonder who will choose an insecure and unstable OS over BB's proprietary OS. lol nobody. Or ... moreBlackBerry 10 users are delusional if they think their OS is any more secure than the other OSes on the market. To continue the car analogy, you are the guy still driving a Lincoln who thinks your car is anything other than a re-badged Ford. BB10 has all sorts of open-source software driving it, and does a LOUSY job keeping it up to date. You are still vulnerable to the past three major OpenSSL security flaws, you are still using Qt 4.5 for native apps, and your WebKit engine is horrendously outdated. The *only* reason BB10 wasn't affected by last year's Heartbleed bug was because the version of OpenSSL used in BB10 was so old that it pre-dated the flaw. And I'm just listing the stuff we *know* about.
It is absolutely possible to have a hardened Android, and Samsung KNOX is replacing BlackBerry in the enterprise.
Nokia goes to Android for saving itself. Blackberry too and then there is a whole bunch of Chinese and Indian makers using Android. Its turning out to be a monopoly that I, personally, hate to see in this world.
Apple is the only brand between Android and total dominance. This is not good for the market I suppose.
Positive thinking. Keep it up. No limitation for Blackberry. An android phone is a smart idea and a long time expectations. I cant wait to buy one.
