Bring back the old site... New doesnt mean it's something better.. this view really sucks.
frustating design !!! bring back the old interface
Messy theme.
Doesn't look professional of "Design Language" from the begining.
must take time for months to forget the old style and get used to the new theme.

1. The main content column could be on the left.
2. Phone finder can be simply left as an expandable tab or button or something.
3. At the very top of the main page you could have buttons for two kinds of views - (a) one for those looking to buy a new device, which could have detailed search parameters along with pertinent articles and guides and (b) for returning readers who visit the site out of force of habit or simply to remain updated with new technology. And of course, an option to 'remember the choice' could be provided.
I don't know how difficult would it be to code the site in this fashion, but I also understand that a sizeable fraction of your visitors must be new or occasional ones who are led to this site by search engines when trying to zero down on a phone to buy, and for them latest niche updates would not be the most interesting content.
This is perhaps one of my first comments on GSMArena.com.
I was initially overwhelmed by the new user interface, but I had also kept at the back of my mind that it might just take a bit of getting used to. I just tried to look up the specifications of a phone, and I found the manner in which information is presented very, very efficient in comparison with the old UI.
I have only two suggestions as of now (which have been made by previous commenters as well):
1. There should be greater sense of separation between different columns. How to achieve that could be best determined by the designers - through (a) greater spacing, (b) some kind of dotted lines as partitions or (c) different colors altogether for the columns?
2. It would be good if the contents would automatically occupy the entire width of the screen, which they currently don't (at least on IE 11 that I'm using).
The most important reason I decided to drop in my comment is because I was feeling very sorry for the GSMArena team for getting so much negative feedback. I was afraid that it should not end up discouraging you people resulting in stagnation.
Having said that I too had developed an emotional bond with how GSMArena used to look in the past, but that is not valid enough reason to discourage any change. :)
Congratulations and all the best!
Not upto the mark guys....... Felt bad that the new interface doesn't use the screen properly... Please fix that.
Also. The mobile version needs to be more polished.
U guys can definitely do better than this
Whoever sold you this design will be laughing at the foolishness of the person who approved it.
The most clumsiest layout I have ever seen for a tech website. Phone finder gets more space than the blog section. Ultra-narrow heading fonts..... the list goes on. I guess I will just stick to your reviews section from now on. Oh wait! Where did that go?
I was unable to find the menu in order to check my favorite section News, I thought my internet is not loading pages properly yesterday, but today was the same scene, trust me this new version is awesome ;) It looks like a forum, new look is beautiful, everything has been organized in really good manners.
Any way we can optionally revert back to the old layout? Browsing the news from the old layout is way lot better than the current one. Now I have to maximize the browser everytime I browse news... Before I just create a small window and browse it without covering my other apps.
AnonD-416656, 12 Jul 2015WTF has happened here????
I thought I had been diverted to a different website. This is toooo... moreNightmare on gsmarema street
:)
I've been coming to GSMArena since 2003 so I know this site and it's great you guys did a redesign. Recently I was thinking to myself that out of all the older websites I've been going to, this one had the oldest interface, but this new interface looks great. It's good that you put the news in the center because that is the most important part of this site, and the reason I continue to come here almost daily. Keep up the good work GSMArena, I'll be with you guys forever!
The new version is incredible horrible, couldn't have done something more ugly and hard to find information. Hope you revert this asap. I've been reading the site since nokia and symbian was hot but if u don't revert i'm leaving.
dear gsmarena, at least you need to change the theme colour, use softer colour for example:- blue, green or pink:-)
Difficult to use when using Opera Mini.
Yuck... New version is so messy.
This looks like a noob design..
yeah old version was best but new version of your site us suck
Good job GSMArena. I'm so far liking the new interface but the problem is that there are way too many 'Empty' elements taking up the space which 'Distract' the focus away from the content. The beauty in the older interface, though dated, was that it focused more on the content than the graphics & aesthetics.
A lot of 'Blank' space is left unused which forces the user to scroll incessantly and quite frequently to get to the content. It seems as though, the screen resolution has suddenly increased(for example, 1920x1080) on a small screened device (say, 1366x768). I know this might sound evil, but users of AdBlock aren't enjoying the blank sides and the top empty bar right below the floating menu bar.
I know this might not be the final version of your layout and design, but at least you're going in the right direction. You have my vote.
Whoever signed off on this for general release doesn't have a clue to what is going on!!!
One third of the screen is blank on every article, whats that all about???
As always - new version sux. Old was more convenient.
